Re: SWOT ???
by ritesh dcruz on Jun 05, 2009 12:25 PM
SWOT Analysis is a strategic planning method used to evaluate the Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threats involved in a project or in a business venture. It involves specifying the objective of the business venture or project and identifying the internal and external factors that are favorable and unfavorable to achieving that objective. The technique is credited to Albert Humphrey, who led a convention at Stanford University in the 1960s and 1970s using data from Fortune 500 companies.
A SWOT analysis must first start with defining a desired end state or objective. A SWOT analysis may be incorporated into the strategic planning model. An example of a strategic planning technique that incorporates an objective-driven SWOT analysis is Strategic Creative Analysis (SCAN)[1]. Strategic Planning, including SWOT and SCAN analysis, has been the subject of much research. Desired Objective: to retain the World cup. Strengths: attributes of the person or company that are helpful to achieving the objective.(mentioned in the article) Weaknesses: attributes of the person or company that are harmful to achieving the objective.(mentioned in the article) Opportunities: external conditions that are helpful to achieving the objective.(Yuvraj Singh to prove himself yet again) Threats: external conditions which could do damage to the business's performance.(injuries)

Also, i believe your SWOT is not really a complete analysis and certain bits are wrong and it lacks the following:
eg., S,W,O,T should be related to each other and there has to be a cross mapping to pick up O and T to derieve the S and T. Also your identification of O could be to any team ( I know what i am talking about, cos i've done this sh*T loads of time ;-)

I do not under stand why people come and wright such comment when they dont know ABC of cricket ...What ever Mr Ramesh have written shows the sense of humar he carries and how foolish he can be .......no other player have tried to think for nation as sachin have ...he him self denied to play T20 rather he was asked for this ...why becoze he thinks for the futyre of INDIAN cricket ....what tyhe hell people want from him he singel handed defeat the world champion in their last tournament when in the first 2 final he scored huge runs and set the target ungetable ....was that not he contribution he had made to india..... more over saurav is no doubt a good captian but he also use to play politics he never have chance to new player ..rather he depends on few players where as Dhoni beleive to have number of alternative for every department that is the difference dhoni deals proffesionally on feild ...and PLZ do not compare sachin to any one we need not say anything when Sir don brad man have uttered great words for him......

oh new players can u name 1 player who came to our team when sachin was captain but ganguly had viru, yuvi, harbajan, zahir, nahra, kaif play with total freedom and u can see the result. even dhoni came into the team when dada was the captain. but the little drawn also has a little mind.

Actually, Sachin Tendulkar is SLUMDOG MILLIONAIR !!! Naturally, he is more hungry than others. BEGGERS must have the right to earn more; evenif SURESH RAINA like players sitting outside. BEGGERS ARE ALWAYS BEGGERS; & you are teaching the Sachin like begger regarding what to do & what not to do. Afterall any cricketer is more than satisfied after playing 21 years of cricket, but it seems that is not applicable to Sachin, because he had saved himself from playing for the nation. Players who played for nation always take the view to retire earlier to give chance to build the team in better manner. Otherwise, there is no any cricket team who will choose SURESH RAINA out of the playing squad. It is now the time to tell Sachin Tendulkar that "HE IS NOT NEEDED FOR INDIAN ODIs & TESTS SQUAD" Keeping logo on helmet of BCCI above INDIA's national flag indicates what are the attitudes of Sachin regarding nation, records, new players & his career as the batsman. Ganguly labels INDIAN FLAG above BCCI logo. Remaining thing is about MAHARAJA GANGULY is that he is the most successful captain of India with 22 test victories & 94 ODIs victories. He also deserves to be 10th best CAPTAIN IN THE WORLD..........

India lost 18 finals of onedayers under the captaincy of DADA & the cause is that sachin tendulkar & ajit agarkar both had not played in these 18 matches. In these matches Sachin has ducks or runs of single figure & ajit agarkar had not taken a single wicket & gave runs above 50 in 10 overs. There is politics played by Sachin even in world cup final also, by which SAURAVDADA can not hold trophy in hands. Actually, that finals are not 11 agaist 11, but 9 (INDIANS) against 13-others. In today’s world nobody played upto 21 years of cricket, so what this old guy wants from playing? Just to create the records, because he never ever played for the team; that’s wellknown truth allover the world.
So it is now the time to tell Sachin Tendulkar that "HE IS NOT NEEDED FOR INDIAN ODIs & TESTS SQUAD"

m unable to understand y ppl although very few in numbers, always try to critisize him widout having any sense and knowledge abt cricket. cn anybody tell me wht is the reason behind telling him selfish. is it bcoz he made so many century and other players who these ppl support could nt make even half of them. for all these ppl- let hv an example- in ODI he made 42 centuries out of which india won 31 matches. he had 57 man of the match and no 1 in world cricket is behind him to cross ahead. now how cn u tell him selfish? few ppl says he could nt perform well finals. comapair his average in finals againts all the batsman to whom u want to compair and then make stmt like tht. sachin have won several finalsfor india. in 1998 - india won 6 IDI series and sachin made centuries in 5 of those finals.dont forget last year in triangular series agains AUS. dont forget he is player of big tournament. he was top scorer in WC 1996 and WC 2003 made 523 and 673 runs respectively. even now is 20 yr old in cricket he is performing well. c the tour of NZ. wht more do u expect frm him. 1 more thing- if u could c the century made by other player like ponting, sehwag etc there will always b some drop catches whre as 90 percent of sachin centuries r widout drop catches. he never gets tht bcoz opposition never wants 2 set him on wkt. he dnt need comment of u ppl. he performed well in IPL also n on 2nd num among indian in makin run. he had prb wid captaincy. bt as a batsman he is all time great.

Sachin it the God of cricket in India, and Sourav is the Maharaja... Both have made brilliant contributions to indian cricket, it is unfair to compare them both.. Both are players par excellence and being indians we shud be proud of both of these individuals

In india we don take critisim in gud terms. How many matches sachin won for india. playing so many ODI. he just want to in team for his runs record. just once dhoni pushed him thru wall. he performed. he now clearly knows that this indian side is not like Azhar or Jadeja era who sold themselves and still njoy same respect from faternity. This is cricket " You sell ur country and make money ". Coming to sachin thr is no doudt tht he is great batsman and hungry to play more but when you analiz his achievement in winning % is very less thn what Kumble , Dravid , Hayden and pointing have. so sachin its time for you to leave cricket. say goodbye in Honor..
