Agree with you. As one of country's sports icons, I am dissapointed that he would buy a hummer that is a petrol guzzler. It literally drinks petrol. Sorry Dhoni. Dont agree with your choice of a garbage car! world needs more green cars!

so what, you expect him to have bought a cycle rickshaw and fit it with a bose music system, alloys ? freak
Surprising that Indian Express shows Harbhajan in his Hummer, and no mention is made of Dhoni; this is exactly the reverse in Rediff. Here we see Dhoni and no mention of Harbhajan. Some get prominence, others are forgotten. This is the reality today.

Awesome Car. What the hell is wrong with you man. I would have appreciated if he would gone for Range Rover Sport version instead of this Junk
Things sure must be rough in Ranchi, for this dude to have to buy that ugly urban assault vehicle. For the same price, I could've bought a BMW 525i or Audi A6. Maybe it's due to the state of roads in Ranchi, so many potholes that you are off-roading most of the time :)
Hi Folks, Dnt blame dhoni..... He earned and is now enjoying...... Blame media which gives such a big importance to this issue...... It is Dhoni's wish to donate or enjoy himself...... But media's duty is giving importance to serious matter and publishing and creating awareness..... If Dhoni does any crime, Media can publish.... Why they published this matter and gave unnecessary publicity 2 dhoni.... Blame media folks......

Why? Dhoni was not a rich man himself, born in a lower middle class family in middle of nowhere Ranchi. He came out of that state through hard work, and so can the other 4 lac people. Ditto with the Pathan brothers.
If you work hard, you have the right to enjoy the fruits of your labour. I think he has rotten taste (the hummer looks like something that came out of an elephant's behind), but it is his right to spend money he earned.
Handing out freebies to poor is not going to alleviate poverty. It never has, and never will. All you can do as a people and government is to provide them the tools to get out of poverty themselves: education, and infrastructure. It's the ant and grasshopper story...

Maximus,
You are absolutely right. I used to work in Darfur (Sundan) and the WFP helps the people with food, they get the food eat and stay in the camps doing nothing, and when the WFP drives by again after six months they are in the same place waiting for food. I feel instead of giving food, all they need to say is that work for food, they can even do organised farming to get their stomach filled.
Dhoni,Next please buy a hammer to break Hummer. If u ve enough try to help the people those who r in need. Dhoni u cant travel in all cars at a time. ve car but don b crazy in keep on buying and it ll not come to an end till ur death comes.

Dhoni pays his taxes, and also paid 100% duty on importing this piece of shit car. It's the government's job to use the money to help the poor; that's the whole reason why they tax us, no?
