It takes guts to accept the obvious.
by PiratefrmSomalia on Jul 10, 2009 12:24 PM

No doubt Bucha is a creep.

But have the guts to accept what is a fact. It wont make you poorer only Sachin will be poorer by a few crores considering that he has made enough and more than he deserves anyway.

T20 format is too late for sachin
by sunder rajan on Jul 10, 2009 12:16 PM  | Hide replies

buchnan is stupid. this T20 format is late entry to international cricket. if it would have been introduces in the early nineties sachin would have been at the top at that time today after playing 20 years of cricket and at his age you cannot expect sachin to play fearless cricket. dont allow people like buchnan to write article on cricket

What is wrong in Buchanan`s comment? It is his own opinion. We Indians are very touchy about our national heros. In two IPL it was truly proven that Sachin is playing only on the basis of reputation and for money.Barring 2-3 innings in combined IPL he was total failure along with Mumbai Indians.Players elder than him like Hayden,Gilchrist were way ahead than our superstars in performance and their impact on the game.Look at the fitness of Sachin and compare him with Hayden,Gilchrist and Jayasurya. In IPL he was fit as he was earning million dollars and he got injured during IPL and out of WI series due to finger injury? What was the reason for his finger injury batting ,bowling or fielding only God knows.
Kick him out of IPL!!!

fearless cricket sounds like brainless, which u dont need in any form of cricket. what u want is cricket with brain which I am sure Sachin surely has and so he fits in even now and u may judge if he is still effective in t20s with his latelegs and not because of innovativeness or otherwise. World has learnt a few shots from him since he has been very effective in creating shots even in trying circumstances

Then what has triggered Sachin to opt himself out of T20?....

There has to be some reason after all...

Tendulkar's performance in T20 (including IPL) has been dismal. So, Buchanan is right.

Compared to Tendulkar(36), Jaisurya(40) looks more robust and suited for T20 cricket, although he is also on the verge of retirement.

Quoting buchanan,"Tendulkar has been lauded, and rightly so, as one of the very top batsmen in the history of cricket...But is he an effective T20 player at this stage of his career?"

Read the article carefully before saying how sachin would have fared in the 90s. He's talking about whether T20 is right for sachin at this stage of his career
