Dog's nature is barking
by shailendra singh on Jul 06, 2009 09:43 AM  | Hide replies

Dhoni maintains his top one day ranking as batsman. Also, Under his captaincy, India won aboout 70% matches. This person is doing three jobs for team. We have already seen performance of our team under Great Sachin and Rahul. But, these things can't change dog's nature.

The truth which we face frequently is :-

Defending heendoos and abusing moosleems has become fashion in india. But mind it that our Congress has won with mejority. If heendoos continue behaving like this - time has come to impliment law that defending heendoos will become crime in india soon.
Basicaly you (loose chaddiwala loosers) are jalous and feel unsecure because of improvements and developements in moosleems in india.

MBA, Unfriendly and Dhoni
by Avinash Kadam on Jul 06, 2009 09:12 AM

Guys, there is someone here (his username is unfriendly) who feels that Sachin, Shewag, Rahul and Laxman need motivation from the captian to play well; they need to be guided and mentored by the captain and also need to be managed by the captain?

How does he know? Because he has a MBA degree and he knows all about human management.

HA, Ha, Ha...even Dhoni will laugh. Oye unfriendly or whoever you are, go tear your degree certificate and jump.

Your knowledge of cricket is very superficial and you are carried away by sentiments rather than analysis of ground realities. Read my analysis below and come up with an intelligent response, if you have any. You are free to hate Dhoni but for Allah's sake, don't hate Team India if you are an Indian.
It is incorrect to presume that D/W Rule gave India any advantage. On the other hand India was put to severe disadvantage by being called upon to score at a higher asking rate with a curtailed power play and no batsman's power play while W.Indies had their full quota of power plays. And do not over look the slow outfield which had become slower due to incessant rains, making scoring boundaries more difficult. We should have a deeper look before taking away credit from Team India.

Don't blow trumpets.
by Avinash Kadam on Jul 06, 2009 08:31 AM  | Hide replies

India was fortunate to win and West Indies was unfortunate to loose. Barring Yuvraj's blistering knock in the first one day match, India has nothing to drool about. I really hope, Yuvraj continues to show consistancy. For a change, Dhoni has scored some runs, thouhg he remains unconvencing Karthik played couple of useful innings and looked far better than Dhoni. Gambhir has to come out of the shadow of Shewag. Rohit Sharma is all hype. None of the bowlers were impressive.

1st match could have gone either way, second match - India was hammered, third match was won by India due to rain intruptions and D/L method and the last was washed out. The only convencing win was by West Indies, so don't get carried away and blow trumpets.

simple maths dude...in a 5 match series a team which wins at least 3 matches wins the series no matter if the other team wins the rest "Convincingly"...if winning convincingly is your problem, to hell with it...this is our fifth straight series win under Dhoni, whether you like it or not and he averages more than 90 in this...and he didnt score runs for a change..he does it most of the time...

Well, when India is thriving to become number 1 team in the world, winning luck by chance does not go far. Earlier wins were not because of Dhoni's contribution, but becasue of superlative performance of Shewag, Sachin, Rahul and Laxman.

Rather in earlier victories you didnt see dhonis contribution, because in wickets without lateral movement, the super heros come early and they dont have much threat. Dhoni still was scoring consistently. But when the wicket becomes bad, super heroes leave early and dhoni is left to do the job for india mostly. You are what we call a novice fan. Once you learn more about the game, you will pick up these things and know who is the better player. For now, enjoy your slam bang junk theories.

There are the people who never satisfy, what ever can happen. These is called Negative Mindset.Such people needs good treatment. When Dada was captain this was the forum and people were shouting against him. There were rallies of debate or hated debate over the batting of Dada and fielding of Dada.People should enjoy the winning. Its not personal win or regional win. This is a good NEWS from Team India.Regarding Dhoni, he is also a player like all. He is a Wicketkeeper batsman.I dont think Karthick should be replaced becouse of 2 innings. The average and performance of Karthick is not hidden.Becaouse there is no other wicketkeeper he has been given many chances earlier.People should accept the good and bad things. This is not the personal rivalary going on. I feel there are people who are waiting DHONI/Yuvraj/any one to be failed. They Enjoy when they Fails. There is no solution to such anti indian peiople. They are sick and needs treatment.I think this is due to failure in life. So called FRASTATRED People.Shame Shame...

can u pls tell me the series india won under dhoni b coz of the significant contribution of rahul and laxman pls come with proper facts dont post for the sake of posts only.look at dhonis average.the st match was over whn they were 250 for 7 and the windies knew it though we gave too many runs still we won it.a win is win and after 10 years or more u cant even remember the squad but wht u will remember is win.this is our straight 5th series win.so congrats team india and dhoni.even if india will loose 1 or 2 upcoming series i will support my team india for ever irrespective of the fact who is leading and who r in the 11.you r south indian i am north indian they r west indian we r east indin this mentality will take us to a place whr history will treat us as cowards and fools whr ever we all stay we all r indian first.and we shd support the whole team whn they goes for some mission.i am sorry if u have any objection upon my comment.about rahul and laxman they both r grt sportspersons and grt players in test cricket.but can u remember one macth laxman played under dhoni and contributed significantly for which india win.am talking about one day matches as we discussing abt one day matches only. i think u mentioned these two players names by thinking about test matches then that is ok

Sehwag, Sachin, Rahul & Laxman were also there when Dravid was the captain. And also when Ganguly was the captain. During Ganguly's captaincy we were winning. The same team became a cropper during Dravid's captaincy & under Dhoni's captaincy, the same team is winning again. Analyse yourself. Or better still, get an MBA, so that you will understand what is management all about

Anand, you are not getting the point. The players who are going to succeed Sachin and Shewag and Laxman and Rahul has to come up with sound batting performance. Look at Rohit and Raina, after so many matches at itnernational level what have they contributed? They struggle to play rising deliveries. Ishant Sharma is supposed to be the main strike bolwer. Does he bowl like that anymore? In the first match he bowled just 5 overs.

The positives
by Ashish Kumar on Jul 06, 2009 08:24 AM  | Hide replies

Apart from a record fourth successive series win and upward movement in the ICC ranking, the positive I see is return of Ashish Nehra. Prior to his exit following injury, I used to rate him above Zahir. He is displaying his old abilities once again. After Zahir returns, India will have the most formidable trio of Zahir, Nehra and Ishant in their pace department. This will make winning the WC 201 that much easier.
