neil harvey was a great player but since his retirement from cric
by patrafterme on Jan 04, 2009 08:46 AM  | Hide replies

-ket as a player and administrator, he has been only one thing in cricket in greatness, its called rent a quote
all aussie players of past and present are great but there is no doubt that past aussie cricketers are jealous of the modern day aussie lot, in other countries, i never see old timers putting their modern day blokes down.aussie old timers put punters band down 3 times a day, though there is no doubt that aussies always call a spade a spade and dont have fakeness and hypocricy like indians
just google to know of neil harvey's quotes, hes a funny man
in india anything happens but the media just picks up 1/100 and makes a story out of it and create a racket ha ha

You say the same think in all your messages. You should be one of those NRI's who love your new found land that you ignore your motherland. And when the people in your new found land mistreat you complain to the Indian Govt.

My fellow Indians, please don't listen to this idiotic NRI. SHAME ON YOU.

Hayden(australia) and Sachin(India) -Veteran cricketers
by km vb on Jan 03, 2009 10:40 PM  | Hide replies

Hayden at 37 years of Age and Sachin at 36 years of holding their position and are to be considered as Veteran Crickets as both of them stand aged in Australian and Indian Team.
Both ABC&BCCI considered these two as Veterans.

dude sachin is performing well, he just scored 1000 runs in a calender year, how can anyone question his performance this year? he had a great 2007 as well, so i don't know why people criticise sachin even after his good showing. He is one of the top 10 run-getters in the world this year and indians say that he should be dropped becoz he is old. What stupid logic is that? I'am glad people who matter don't think like u.

We are talking of Hayden. And besides one is failing since 2001 and other is clicking since 1989...there is difference between madness and critical decision, hence BCCI does not consider sachin veteran.

abey pakistani, hayden dint play before 2001 there must be some reason. australia cricket board is not mad. hayden is a mediocre player with third grade attitude. Never played a single knock under pressure, coz he wets his pant. so stop linking his rear side

Hayden averages 42-outside Australia.he is not a great player.
by rajan bar on Jan 03, 2009 09:48 PM  | Hide replies

He averages just 42 outside australia.he is flat track bully. he murdered weak attacks. he is not a patch on David Boon.he has scored 21 hundreds in Australia. he is a good player as Harvey correctly judged. not a great player at all. Neil Harvey was an all time great australian player, part of Bradman's invincibles team, which has not lost a single match in England on the 1948 tour. Hayden could not manage more than 1 decent knock in England.Hayden scores heavily against poor attacks and weak hearted bowlers.

Bangladesh              35.66       England             34.50              India              51.35
Sri Lanka             47.16
West Indies             63.16 -(after ambrose/walsh/Bishop retired. he was pathetic against them).
South Africa              34.66

You are just picking some facts and neglecting the rest to show that hayden is not great which is not correct. If we look at the fourth innings average then Hayden averages around 50 whereas Sachin averages
around 37.So you would say that sachin is not great because his fourth innings average is not good. Please always view the full picture.
Hayden is one of the greatest player (specially the best opener) in world cricket and Sachin probably the greatest

Harvey is right
by nikhil soni on Jan 03, 2009 08:15 PM

No people....Harvey is right..even English oldie..Dexter said the same...and wat they prob mean to say is dat Hayden's records do speak for themselves...but his stroke making make him luk more like a donkey beater....he's never had any proper style or plan to his play...jst simple slogging....but wat makes him great is that even slogging has gt him so much success..
