Hayden and Ponting are the greatest batsmen of this era in Australian cricket... i would certainly put Hayden way ahead of overhyped Mark Waugh and even his brother Steve....
Simply put, Ponting, Hayden and Steve Waugh are the standout aussie batsmen of this generation of this era!!

dISAGREE! He is a good batsmen, not great because great players score 50 on their worst days. Not with Hayden. Besides even a 11th batsmen is better than Steve Waugh. But donot compare with Mark Waugh who has a flair. Steve Waugh think cricket means digging a hole and shitting in it until some loose bowlers come and then dominate them...thats not cricket. Hayden lost himself the day Lara scored 400.

perfect!! Bcoz of Hayden's presence at the top of the order, one of the reason why OZzies have dominated world cricket.
hayden is brash and represents the old world oz team. he still thinks he can make oz team number one again. but sadly it was mcgrath and warne, with the help of the rest who dint matter as much as the former 2 greats.

People from Oz think, overnite they can convert a siddle into gillespie at least. But least do they know that McGrath,Warne received harshest punishments and then they worked hard on their game to come back and prove the world a point. Warne's 1/200 in his first test and McGrath being treated like a club bowler by Sachin 1996 WC shows they were no different. But they worked on it and so should these players do. Oz team cannot rule the world again because there is no money in Oz to pay for this sport.....
