Indians play with all low rated Srilanka, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Zimbabwe, England to increase scoring points to place them to 3rd position in ICC ranking. But if they travel to Aus,South Africa or New Zealand they exposed to live wickets compare to Indian sub continent dead wickets...
THis is secreate of indian success

Inspite of the defeat, there are some positives emerging

Dear Friends

Saw the match today, it was certainly a good one, India started out aggressively, had Sehwag or even Yusuf stayed a little longer, we could have gone on to reach 200. But thats the nature of the game. Kiwis did well to chase the Indian score. Our batsmen did show that they could score in foreign pitches even though it was brief. We did not struggle to find/cross the ropes, thats key in T20. We certainly have the fire power. Its a matter of staying at the wicket and put togather some more partnerships. The team can turn it around in the next game.No major changes expected except maybe Praveen coming in for Rohit as Praveen would provide the seaming allrounder option which is key in New Zealand. But Rohit is a fantastic player, and the team should not lose hope on him so soon. All the best team India

yeah every one agree he MIGHT be great player .. but how many chances Rohit should get to prove his worth? ...
why you drop a guy like Manjoy Tiwari just after 2 games, Badrinath just after 2 one day games, Ravider Jadeja after 2 games, it is not fair .. every one is good one paper .. the fact of the matter did Rohit Sharma show consistency BIG NO ..JUST DROP him and move on .. he played

ODIs 35 Total is ONLY 637 and 70* is highest score and his Avg is 25.48 and only 4 50s .. we don't need Avg player .. there are plenty and every one should get 35 ODIs .. if not I can ask why only Rohit got to play 35 ODI even though he was making runs in single digits with Avg of 25..

Rap in the backsides!!
by yetanotherbrickinthewall on Feb 25, 2009 11:49 PM  | Hide replies

Once in a while a rap in the backside will help get the b@lls moving again.

In NZ conditions where the ball gets a perceivable movement off the seam, good sense will tell the batsmen to play straight bat rather than horizontal bat. None of the batsmen applied themselves.

The Indians play Test matches like ODIs, ODIs like 20-20, and they play 20-20 like 2-2. They need to stay around and build their innings!!

by Karthik B on Feb 25, 2009 11:19 PM  | Hide replies

Yeah every one knows he (Rohit) showed great potential in few games, thats that, tell me a game where he passed 50 or evn 40 or even 30 in the resent past? What a waste of resource there are many many people waiting on the bench and we have stick with Rohit ..what a shame .

Why is every one so upset????
by rajendra rao on Feb 25, 2009 11:05 PM

T-20 is a game, which needs no stars, but people who can score 20-25 runs quickly, and bowl few overs within the 6 runs per over range.
So if one sees seriously at the game, no team is a certain favorite.
But this fact does no wipes off the fact that india lost. But lets give them a chance, as this was the team which lifted the world-cup.

India's loss
by Ashwin on Feb 25, 2009 10:32 PM

ITS VERY EASY TO BEAT INDIA, PARTICULARLY ON FOREIGN SOIL. BEFORE THE TOUR & BEFORE THE MATCHES START, ALL THE FOREIGN COUNTRY'S PRESS & NEWS PAPERS HAVE TO PRAISE INDIA TO THE SKY AND INDIAN PLAYERS THINK, NO ONE CAN BEAT THEM. CHECK UP AND THIS IS WHAT WAS HAPPENING. OF COURSE 162 WAS NOT A BAD TOTAL IN 20 X 20

Its not worth making hue and cry because Indians cannot negotiate ball on live wicket. Our Indian Batsman only play in Indian sub-continent dead wickets scoring 800 to 900 runs ina one day..
But they can not play on live lush green wickets.
