Sachin still to play
by Labak on Feb 19, 2009 08:07 PM

Sachin is playing International Cricket for 20th year in a row. He has broken all batting records except two Sir Bradman's record.
1) 29 Centuries in 52 Tests. 2) Test Average of 99.96. He wants to play as long as he can.

Azhar joing congress is very good news!
by Khullam Khullah on Feb 19, 2009 08:04 PM  | Hide replies

This is good news, and reflects India's and Congress commitment to diversity, tolerance and giving everyone a chance to contribute to the larger cause of amity. Even in the Bhagawad Gita, Krishna says anyone, including the biggest sinner, who has resolved rightly to lead a good, reformed life, should be considered righteous and treated with respect. Anyway, nothing has ever been proven conclusively against Azhar. So all these readers who are ranting here like mad dogs against Azhar, please get your facts right. Even the BCCI honoured Azhar several times in the recent past for his great contribution to Indian cricket. All these fellas who want Azhar down were the selfsame people who applaunded each and every of his boundaries. He was their hero. And because of witch-hunt, he is now a villain. How Indians like to pull down their heroes. Even on the personal front, Azhar made a man of himself by openly marrying Ms Bijlani, unlike honourable ex-cricketers and other celebrities who indulge in extra-marital affairs, adultery, bigamy and polygamy. Azhar never exploited his religion. He could have easily got four wives, but he chose to remain like a secular Indian, and respected the majority's conventions, and stuck to only one wife. Hyderabad constituency needs to be liberated from the stranglehold of the good-for-nothing, communal-minded Owaisis. Azhar can do that. Hyderabadis will be eternally grateful. And Azhar will be a big success in politics. Amen!

He will not only sell Hyderabad but entire India as well. But one thing, no cricketer has broken his record (Three 100's from debut which he scored in 1984-85 against England)

Sachin should ask to open in Test innings and give the No:4 slot to Sehwag. Sachin should come as No:7 batsman in ODI, where he should finish games for india.

I guess facing quality bowling.. I guess Ponting regaining his form and going past his Test runs and Centuries record, even when tendulkar is playing.. Its certain that pointing will surpass tendulkar..

LOL, looking at Ponting's form since 2006, it looks like he will need another 10 years to go pass Tendulkar.

Ponting is a good whiner and a bad cricketer. And to talk of comparing Ponting with 10dulkar is blasphemy

Critics - Don't you get tired ?
by Dire Straits on Feb 19, 2009 07:48 PM  | Hide replies

Don't you ever get tired criticizing him ? You know it clear and well nothing will happen to him nor will he ever be dropped even if you keep screaming for a million years. He has been playing for about 20 years, not once he has been dropped. You have been screaming for about the last 4 years, yet nothing fruitful have happened.

1. Not once he has been dropped in his career.

2. He comes into the team when he wants without any fitness tests, and then goes out cuz of injury whenever he wants.

3. Not one ex-player says anything bad about him, but instead keeps praising him sky high.

4. No one has the guts in the BCCI to utter even a word against him.

Still don't you people get tired criticizing him ? Haven't you understood that nothing will happen to him nor he will ever be dropped from the team ?

Don't you realize that no one can stop him from playing till when he feels like, and that he'll quit only when he feels like ?

i agree with only your first point.
the second point is completely wrong. he is not a ball tamperer.
the third point is not a problem who says he shouldnt earn millions?
the fourth point is not an issue at all.

i dont like tendulkar either, but not for the points that u have mentioned, excepting the first point.

I think you are the most frustrated person in this world and have no clue what Tendulkar is.
There are very few people in India that can do so much for the country and losers like you can only criticize them.

What bull-shit u r writing, I am also fan of Great Sachin Tendulkar, Great Master himself explained he didn't feel comfortable when someone touches his feet. I truly agree with ur point of veiw, he is not GOD, but in India, u will find number of his FANS, who consider him as a God, then there is what harm for you, if anybody touches his feet. U cann't resist his popularity. U didn't touches feet of ur own parents and grandparents. In India everything is possibile
