his highest score in over 150 test matches is 248* against these minnows(Bangladesh) 5 years back.
Where else he will get such oppotunity to score a double century and break his own highest score? Of course the countries are - Bangladesh, Kenya,...
And he knows that he is too old to break the highest ODI record :-)

His records is what he has done for India. If you work for a company your acheivements will be considered as what you have done for the company.

Sachin as genius, at the same time they allegate that Sachin's performance is of no benifit to the Indian team and is just playing for himselves

Correct. When India has alread won the series, what is the need to Tendulkar playing the match. Kartik is the rising cricketer and the only backup for Dhoni, so he should be well tested for future with adequate exposure.
what nehra is doing in the team ??? he always bowls only last 3 overs of his spell economically. and in previous 7 overs, he gives away 50 runs in every match. i think getting in to the indian team has to do with name(hyped), like rohit sharma ( on the performance of just one domestic game he has got selected. ) despite having got lots of chances he hasnt proved anything. why selectors are harsh on badrinath, rahane, nayar, pujara ,tiwary etc.
same is the case with agarkar ,i agree hee is not good for tests but in odi he has excellent figures 288 wickets ,avg 27.85 and good pace too that is better than rp singh , pathan, praveen kumar, ishant sharma . likes of gayle , jayasurya, langer were often his victims. i am not trying to support any one blindly.....jst an analysis

Nehra came back after several months and did exceptionally well in the T20. He deserves chance for atleast one series.
Agarkar was immensely talented, but he never had faith in his own abilities. He also did not have good advisors. It is really sad that his career could and should have been a success story had to end in a farce.
His average is 56 this season playing for Mumbai. It is better than many frontline batsmen. Unfortunately, he is not having a great time with the bowling except picking only couple of wickets every match.
But if given another chance by selectors, i am sure he will not let it go this time. And his batting has improved he can be a good lower order allrounder for India. He can hit better than Ravindra Jadeja at least and has a century at Lords too.

You are right. Every Cricketer wish that he shoul hit Century on LORDS & Agarkar had century on Lords & it was flawless Century without givng any chance to fielders or bowlers.

Forrest Gumpji, I think Cricket is played by two teams of eleven players each, which take turns to bowl a hard-leather ball. AT first view, cricket looks somehow similar to baseball, with players batting a ball and trying to score as many runs as possible. The differences, however, are many. For starters, cricket is played with a flat bat, rather than a rounded one, and players do not run on a square to score a point, but instead run forward in an effort to reach the opposite end of the pitch. If the ball is hit hard enough to go far, a player may keep running back and forth between the opposite ends, scoring one point every time they complete the full distance. A cricket pitch is always a grassy rectangle measuring 66 x 10 feet (20.12 x 3.05 m). Wooden stakes at each end of the field mark the points to reach in order to score a run. Several additional lines mark the infield and outfield areas, used to determine if a pitch is legal according to the position of the player and the direction of the ball. Cricket follows a complicated system of 42 rules, which can be modified prior to a game if both teams agree to it. This applied mainly to the field, the playing structure, and the positioning of the players. Players usually stay in one position, either as batsmen or bowlers; all-rounders (players who can take either position in any given game) are rare and considered extremely invaluable in a team. Games are controlled by two on-field referees known as umpires, although a th

Dont forget Agarkar whenever you do analysis of Indian Bowlers. Agarkar is just victim of politics or he dont have God Father to enter in Indian Team. His bowling is always effective when India playes at Overseas. Some time he gives more runs then any other bowler but he is a wicket taking bowler

And remember-he was the main reason India reemerged from 1996 WC (semifinal)debacle. His neatly timed wickets helped India immensely. But he was always ridiculed by idiots writers and useless commentators. But now bringing back him is may not be a wise decision.Better give Sachin voluntary retirement.(Agarkar scored 5 consecutive ducks in tests. That was a folklore-thanks to empty brained & HMV writers. These fools never reminded us that Sachin scored 3 consecutive ducks in ODIs.Also he has the consecutive scoreline 0,0,8,0 in tests!!!!Agarkar was just an alrounder.)
