Because there are no records to break. See the distance between SRT & next best record holder - ODI - highest runs - 4000 most hundreds - 17 most nineties - 9 most fifties - 10
Test matches - highest runs - 1000 (current player 1500) most hundreds - 5

Guys, Realize that Paki board is in gutter financially (and otherwise too). They need to play their Home series in India in 2010. So they need to negotiate with BCCI and GOI. What else can be the first step in that process? Use a veteran cricketer to build the tempo. And here comes the appreciation for an Indian player from a Paki. Praising Dravid will not give them a better chance at the negotiation table. It has to be Sachin and that is how Sachin becomes "Jewel". So dont go gaga over his comment nor fall for the praise.

Please understand what he is saying ' SUB CONTINENT'S CRICKETING JEWEL'. Is Sachin on subcontinent's jewel?? We believe that he is JUST 'CRICKETING JEWEL'. He has perfomed at all the places and against all the teams... Rediff should understand the words of these people and then post an article....JAI HIND

TENDULKAR IS ALL TIME EVERGREEN "KOHINOOR" OF WORLD CRICKET AND NOT JUST A "JEWEL OF SUB CONTINENT". NEVER TRY TO UNDERESTIMATE HIS TALENT & ACHIEVEMENTS.
