by Vaithilingam Chidambaram on Dec 21, 2009 01:29 PM  | Hide replies

youngsters like gambhir not given chance to open even after so much sucess.
why the GOD prefers only opening slot. PUT URSELF IN GAMBHIR S POSITION AND SAY. TRY TO ACCEPT SACHIN IS NOT A TEAM MAN.

VC:

Good point. I also see that Dhoni has not given Gambhir a chance to keep wickets. Too selfish.
Nor has Nehra given Gambhir a chance to bowl left arm swing. :)

BTW, if Sachin is not giving Gambhir a chance, what is Dhoni doing as a captain? :)
After all he is responsible for setting the batting order, and if he feels that Sehwag and Sachin are better opening batsmen than Gambhir, then Gambhir just has to take up the issue with Dhoni.
Or in the capacity of Gambhir's Personal Secretary you can write to Dhoni if you so wish. :)

Even God will help 99% but the rest 1% you have to put.

Indian team lags in putting that 1%.

This shows how much cricketing knowledge God has given u
An opener can never be considered as a Match Winner.
First take some basic knowledge and then only comment upon the Genius.

He was not a good captain. I think Sunny Gavaskar was a better captain than Sachin but Sachin stands out clearly as the best player and best batsman of the subcontinent.

Gavaskar and Zaheer Abbas can share no. 2 spot.

Well, it's a team game, no? Sachin can't bowl the opposition out cheaply all by himself, can he? If you didn't have sachin, how many matches would you lose? I guess that's the important question.

If Sachin Is GOD???
by greatHindu on Dec 21, 2009 01:02 PM  | Hide replies

Yes Sachin is probably is the greatest player India have ever produced, and he makes lots of records, but still if you look India's record I don,nt think it is very impressive,Is GOD(sACHIN) does not want india to make record,God is happy only making his own records only.
I think indeed he is a great player and also a great human being but still very much sort of GOD,Even Sehwag,Yubraj,Dhoni and Ganguly gives many memorable win for india.
So we should also praise these playes like Sehwag,Ganguly,Dhoni and now even Gambhir also playing very good for Indian cause,we Indian first think about our country not players personal records.

Sachin has played 450 ODIs now, how can u remember so many winning innings.
Rets players have played around 200 games which can easily be memorised.

yeah...may be U are correct but still U just t5hink onething when Sachin played well in a match then every player of Indian cricket team depends on him as he is responsible for win that perticular game..is it right...?? we also think that way...just try to think about it...thats why we think Sachin do not play for the India but he is playing for himself.am I right...

Yes, Sehwag, Yuvraj, Dhoni, Ganguly,
Kumble, Kapil Dev and many others a given Indian memorable wins and they should also be praised. But there is one problem. This article is about Sachin Tendulkar and he is being rightly praised. Whenever anything will written about other players they will also get their due.

When u compare any players with Sachin, we found Sachin is best because he is technically sound player. Some players give performance in two or three matches of 20 matches but he is doing it in consistency. When Sachin fail in two games, he come better and better in 3rd game. Other entertaining players did not do so.

Guys lets not fight... let the statistics speak for themselves. Here goes....

Player      Span      Mat       Inns      NO      Runs     & nbsp;HS      Ave      100      50&n bsp;     0      200s
SR Tendulkar (India)
1989-2009      162      265    &nb sp; 28      12970      248*     &nb sp;54.72      43      54      14&nb sp;     4
DG Bradman (Aus)
1928-1948      52      80     & nbsp;10      6996      334      99. 94      29      13      7 &nbs p;    12

Sachin is no where near to the Don of Cricket "Sir Don Bradman" dont see how many centuries he has made see in how many matches he has made them. See the near perfect average of Sir Don Bradman 99.94 .. no one has come even near to achieving this magical figure. Without doubt the God of Cricket should be "Sir Don Bradman". Sachin is a Cricketing Genius alright but GOD .... is too much of an exhageration.
