Sachin is a fantastic player for sure, but when you're making a world xi you can't take all Indians. Could choose only two Indians, Dravid and Sehwag.

Why not Gambhir? You are keeping only four bowlers. Certianly this is not a balanced side.

It seems to be good one... Some Possible replacements in the original XI KP to Kallis (As thers is No Allrounder) Mitchell Johnson to Zaheer Khan
Today cricket is nothing but a business were lot of money is involved. The players and selectors are already earning carores of rupees in IPL and ODI.And still they are begging for more money. They should focus on selecting a right team and picking up right talent of fast bowlers and batsman even from school level.

Are you saying that the current team is not talented or winning games for India? Dude check the record for the last one year and you will know that India has won many games. And, It's not because of the selectors, its because of a few individual brilliance that won the game for India. Chill Sunil.

Already so high salaries and they want more. FOR WHAT...selecting the right team from a resource of 20 players. Look what the selectors have done in the last 2 years. Increased the bench strength of only the top and middle order batsmen.(lets not forget that from the last so many years, India has been known to have good batsmen). We still struggle to find fast bowlers. Ishant Sharma looks like past his prime. Ashish Nehra appears to be a gonner (despite his comeback). Irfan Pathan is no where in the scene. Munaf Patel is screaming for existence. Lets look at spinners. Amit Mishra is no match to be Kumble's replacement. Pragyan Ojha slipping into Harbhajan's shoes looks unlikely. So apart from the finds like Rohit Sharma, Suresh Raina and Virat Kohli and managing the batsmen like Wasim Jaffer etc. what have the selectors done. Cheteshwar Pujara still doesn't get a chance to prove himself and there are so many like him who are just ridiculed in the selectors meeting by saying "their time has not yet come". Lets get over the politics and start being responsible for our actions.

It is ridiculous on the part of BCCI to consider increase in salary to national selectors from the present Rs. 2.25 lakh a month. It is an easy job for selectors to select a team in India where most of the positions in the team could be predicted even by a fan residing in a remote place in India. Are these people accountable if their selection proved wrong?. They hardly have 10 meetings in a year for which why this quantum of pay? The selectors are already paid much higher tha they actually deserve.

i totally agree with you, i have watch a cricket match hosted in patna during the hero cup in 1993, and found it a very good venue for international cricket
It is simply waste of our nation's money to increase salaries of selectors as their work is simply to select teams round the year.....India's test team has been same for the last two years barring retirement of anil kumble and saurav ganguly....even a 8 year kid can select a test team of India....as for T20 team is concerned the base is their performance in IPL [eg.ojka, yusuf pathan, nehra, dinda, goni, jadeja, kohli etc.] and it is also more or less same for the past 6 months and same thing applies for one day team with only dravid being included for one series and dropped after that with no fault of his........So,there is no sense in increasing the salaries of selectors who are already overpaid for the little work they do round the year.

I agree with your opinion, selectors do nothing around the year. They are doing for himself not to the interest of nation. In my point of view present selection committee is not produce/find a good player for midile order, they always moving around two or three playres like Virat Kohli, S.Badrinath, etc. They have a pet player Virat Kohli, he is the very good replacement of all order, if Gambhir injoured call the Kohli, Yuvraj injoured call Kohli. What is this?
M.Johnson physically involved with Benn. How can he escaped from ban. Gambhir faced 1 test ban when he physically involved with Watson some months back.

ICC has different rules to different teams !!!!
they will never do justice to colored players.
