People who are bullish in anture often do so risking their popularity. The moment they fail, their heads are called for because they aren't the typical nice guys. Thereby, it is important to have a balance between the team's most explosive batsman and being a colourful personality off the field with a dash of arrogance, which we all know Yuvi is. He could have been a great captain, if he wouldn't have been tempermental. Fair enough, but he wouldn't have been such an explosive batsman either
Dhoni is spoiling the CSK camp. He never gives chance for High performing Vijay, Badhri, Karthick, ashwin in Indian team. Also he is doing the same in CSK. I remember in last edition out of playing 11 only 2 were from tamilnadu.
I would like to have the IPL IV like this
1. M. Vijay 2. M. Hayden / Bharath (Remember W.I guy played for T&T in the CL) 3. Raina (V.Captain) 4. Badhrinath 5. M. Hussey / M. Clarke 6. D. Karthick (Captain) 7. A. Morkeal / Pollarado (Remember W.I guy played for T&T in the CL, blasted Lee to all corners) 8. A. Flintoff / J. Oram 9. S. Thygi 10. Ashwin / Aushik Srinivas (16 year old, who took 7 wkts against Mumbai) 11. M. Gony / L. Balaji

how can u select BHARATH, POLLARD & Aushik Srinivas just on the basis of one performance?
You are making a comparison between ALBIE MORKEL and POLLARD. Remember pollard scored runs against domestic level bowlers. On the other hand, Albie Morkel is a kind of player who can score quick runs against any international bowler. Pollard has played lot of international matches in his career but he hasnt clicked so far in international matches.
Bharath is in early phase of his career. he recently scored a century against Australia but in remaining innings he failed totally.
M.Vijay is a good test batsman but T20 is different ball game. His batting figures in domestic T20 matches are not too good.
By the way, have u ever heard about Anirudha Srikaanth (son of chief selector K.SRIKAANTH). Currently, he is the best T20 batsman in domestic circuit. his figures prove his talent and temperament as a hard hitter T20 batsman.
It's a great decision. He should have been kicked out from the captaincy from 2nd edition itself. Now if he still acts and doesn't behave kick him out of the team. nobody is bigger than the team
In any case, the chances of foreign captains succeeding in IPL is very less. Take the example KKR. After Macullum's failure they have rightly gone back to Ganguly. Bangalore have rightly choosen Kumble ahead of Kallis. The result is there for everyone to see.
Only Warne & Gilchrist succeeded. The reasons: 1) Both are of exceptional talents 2) When they both started, their teams were at bottom with least expectations.
I agree with the Kings XI Punjab decision. The best player should get opportunity. With the sporting spirit one must think of winning the game with changing stragegy

But Nationally its wrong... IPL should be a basis to nurture the talent in India...be it leadership skills are the techniques

it is very unfortunate to see that a person (NESS WADIA)who do not know how to hold a bat is selecting the captain of a cricket team
