First defang Pathan under a good bowling coach. Greg Chappel has destroyed this great prospect. May be he should sent to Anald Donald. he benefit the SriSanth benefitted.

ashish, as an ODI player (i m considering all 3 aspects, batting, bowling, fielding), IRFAN is much better than rohit, jadeja, virat, nehra, nayar, yusuf pathan, sudeep tyagi, pragyan ojha and sreesaanth, munaf.
IRFAN is one who can bat, bowl, take tough catch and the main thig he cabn play under pressure.
How is it that no one is criticising Dhoni today? He could have been called selfish for coming one down, pushing Gambhir down in the batting order. A few more allegations could have been levelled. Have all his compulsive critics gone into prayer/meditation mode?

I have already said my view about it... But dont use the word 'criticising'... All the members are cricket fans.. Nobody is here to criticise... We are here to discuss our views... We all need good cricket...
Commercial match.... Thats it....
If u r a true cricket fan, u wont be anyway interested in this sort of a match on a dead wicket prepared specially for commercial purpose... Quality batting is different...
Except for the last 6 overs from Zaheer and nehra, who were bowling superbly in the so called death overs... High scoring match doesnt always mean a thriller... But this one was thrilling only at the end... Until then it was boring as bowlers got nothing from the wicket...
Happy that India has somehow won the match... But few things to be noted are: 1. Confused batting lineup with dhoni mixing up things... One of the top opening batsmen Gambhir pushed lower in the order for dhoni.. Kohli coming after Harbhajan... Now no player knows what his role is in the team... 2. Jadeja - Is he still better than irfan for the all-rounder slot 3. Now sehwag is injured... I dont want to miss him in the series... In case of the worst, what is going to be the lineup in the series 4. Now India has got steady with the death bowling with Zah & Nehra bowling beautiful yorkers with sensible variation in line... Experience speaks...

When our esteemed cricket fans address Dhoni as Dhobi, I do not know whether it is out of extreme fondness or derision. As to your sensible observations I would say nothing succeeds like success. Dhoni has been succeeding so far. Let us wait till his methods begin to fail.

Not at all. I really enjoy the mindless stuff offered in the message board every time there is a match. Today I am missing my quota of fun.
hmmmm i played bit schhol material there with tht NOT WITHSTANDING ONE, but im sure I aint offend you. Now to Ult Paltank, Sir, the art of fast bowling, is not the very easy stuff, one can master it overnight, but, through years of exposure. Mc Grath is a Great and he aint tht just because he bowl lazy same to same as u said, but he is a very clever bowler, witha lot of exerience behind, and he is a very controlled seamer too, may be he is the only bowler who can stand near to Mr Walsh, in ball controle and varying the pace, he use the seam in a great way, and he use the air and the shine/roughness of the ball, he can creat swing in the air, and he is as effective after the pitch too, he owns a very controlled leg cutter too, alongwith some great yorkers, so wht make him difficult is not the same to same stuff, but the variations he keeps in his armoury. please ammend ur words sir

first i regret replying, but stil doing it, if u can point anything which is not fact i promise i stp blog, secondly, iam a free born and keeps a right to say wht I feel as right(untill I aint offend others and I aint use abuses), so please dont be fed up, better stay clear, and yeah abt teaching kid, may be u dont knw the saying, CHILD IS THE FATHER OF A MAN, you and me all been kids oneday, so teaching kids aint a bad option either, so please be more genuine n practical, and if cnt tollerate a genuine blog, better stay clear sir. thanks
I think Sri lanka played better than India in all departments and they deserved most to win this match. Just think, if this is on the reverse side with Lanka batted first and put 415 as the target what the Indian would have done on chasing. I can't just imagine with this batting line up with Kohli and Jadeja. Where is the real power in Indian batting. Alo, though, Dhoni clicked today, he should not have come in the first down as the batting in the lower order is poor. Any way we won the match with some / mostly luck.

by Rohit on Dec 15, 2009 07:25 PM
Do you mean we have never lost a match which we should have won in cricket history? and i have heard over the years that Indian team is famous for snatching defeats from jaws of victory.
if the bowling and fileding continues like this India does not deserve No 1.The batting alone cant win india matches. I think India's bowling is only better than Zimbabwe and fielding is only better than Kenya
Re: India does not deserve to be No 1
by Ashish Kumar on Dec 15, 2009 07:28 PM
Don't worry. The fielding will soon improve. With his no-nonesense approach, Dhoni has discarded fake the fielding coach and had a genuine appointed.

Yeah...fielding and bowling is a big concern for india...... Young bowlers and energitic fielders are to encouraged
Re: India does not deserve to be No 1
by Rohit on Dec 15, 2009 07:22 PM
They may not deserve but they are. I being an indian is thoroughly enjoying it as we had bowling, fielding and wicketkeeper-batsman woes over the years. Now at least our fielding has slightly raised its bar except for this series 20-20 matches and today and we got a keeper batsman in Dhoni.
Being an Indian, I'm happy at the end of day, with India having won the match. But did they deserve it? Dropped too many catches, misfielded, bowled all over the place.. stupids, they never learn..
But sangakkara played a stupendous knock, mostly cricketing shots and with utter disdain.. It's a pity that their middle order messed it up.
Re: Sri Lanka messed it up..
by Rohit on Dec 15, 2009 07:19 PM
Both teams deserves kudos and no less. Loser, if any, was the curator and management. Our middle order also messed up else it was a 475 run pitch and no less.
Indian fielding is pathetic,we almost lost the match when Sangakara was dropped. The kids around the block are better fielders than this bunch. Give them punishment by not paying their match fees. Then only they will learn.

ha ha... Indian players r very rich man... if u dont give them match fee it is okay with them.. They just sign a promo next day...

Then drop 'em from the side.. Some punishment is due to the idiots.. How else will they play responsibly & sensibly???
How many catches will they drop and we keep watching 'em! It is indeed sick to watch these blokes who believe in playing "Nawab cricket" alone.
