watching sehwag play in this recent time, feels that more is yet to come, and if anyone has to break lara's record it is sehwag and no one else. god bless him
what is this ... all you arguing like imbeciles ... sachin vs sehwag ... what the *uck ... cant you all see the match and stop thinking about 'the greatest batsman' ? just for once ...
I think this list is wrong. I surely believe Adam Gilchrist has scored it on around 190-200 balls against England. In the same match, I think Graham Thorpe too scored double century in 205 odd balls.
The difference between two is when sehwag click the percentage of indias win is 99 % because sehwag dont hesitate to hit a six when he is on 99 but on the otherhand when sachin is on 80 he is taken 60 balls to score that 20 runs thats means sachin plays for him sometime but not sehwag.

u say they cannot b compared, but, u urself are calling them lion and tiger.
First the joke..media on tv and everywhere is going gaga on sehwag's triple and lara record, why we indians are obsessed with individual records nobody knows, once in the 2 hr galmour program have they mentioned how india could win this test and what they need to do or that india is going to be no.1 -- isn't that what you should focus more on?
and now for why I pity -- look at andyroddick, federer, tigerwoods, imran and other great sportsmen -- do you see what they all have? no you don't -- they all have their charity foundations, woods foundation, andyroddick foundation and they use their fame to do sooo much good to the society. Think about how many lives they can improve for poor India. What do cricketers like sachin do? Pity...may be they do some charity but if you are sachin and a bit more proactive with a foundation and come out open with it, imagine how much good it will do to the society. All fans will contribute to the foundation. This is after all a sport they are playing for god's sake, please use this fame for something productive. such a sad state :-( oh well enjoy the match now

Sachin does lots of charity, but never goes public with it. The left hand should not know what the right hand does.

As I said, I agree I am sure Sachin and others do charity but given his god like status he can do much more in terms of marketing that image and channel it towards charity. Imagine millions of fans could feed this charity and soo much good work.

i agree sehwag innings was great but i am putting my views into perspective when everyone has gone blind with joy -- after all this is when most people visit the messages and i am trying my part to get some good samaritans to consider helping the poor

While team victory is of utmost importance, we can not overlook individual contributions. If some does better he needs to be complimented. and if some does exceptionally better like for instance, Sehwag, then it is all the more necessary to do more than mere complimenting.
Sehwag is on the verge of making history. If he does today, then i will be proud of him as an Indian. So lets be with him. Its neither a joke nor a pity.
Service to the society is entirely an individual issue. Sehwag may not have declared his contributions to the charity. that does not mean he is not contributing. before we ask sehwag or sachin for charity, lets ask ourselves, how much have we contributed to the charity. is it the responsibility of only celebrities?

Bomber....regarding your joke, I would like to say that as an Indian I (and I am sure many others) would be happier to see such an important world record broken than India winning the match. Matches may be won or lost, but such a momentous and historical ocassion is extremely rare. Anyway, if he gets the record, India is sure to win.
i posted a decent link with ball by ball commentary of nathan astle's fasterst double century from cricinfo. you guys did not post it. is it some kind of automated editing thing thats filtering stuff or some dump idiots outthere removed stuff at their whims.
