Buddy, I share the same sentiment. If Veeru bats whole day tommorow, nobody can stop him from making 500 (god please make this happen)..

It is childish to compare sachin with sehwag. Primarily, sehwag is a opener whereas sachin is not. Sachin is on field early in the innings only if few wickets have fallen early which means....in pressure situation. OR he is on field only when lots of runs have been scored by others...i.e on flat wickets

Sachin has served 20 years for the country with the consistent performance and best sportsmanship. Please think well before you post such kind of comments. In next innings, if Veeru wil fail then guys like you will write that Veeru should be dropped. Nonsense.

why do you even have to compare.. both are good in their own styles and are from different times... do you think if Sehwag had started his career the same time sachin started, would he successful ... remember 175 in last australian series ...whenever Sachin has played, he will be the only guy scoring without any help from other people.... If sehwag can give the same performance after seeing his work going the drain, like sachin does.. then I will agree hands down that sehwag is better than sachin..

It was Sachin who started this kind of cricket in test in his early days..the perth innings in 1992...Sehwag is a opening batsman....wat if sehwag wud have gone for a 0...then this kind of inning wudnt have saved the test....learn the basics of test cricket.....sehwag has the license to play like this because there are players like sachin ,dravid & laxman down the order....

I am dam sure that Shewag is best than Sachin because sometime Sachin plays for his own and also he is not a fast scorer as Shewag who releases all the presure for the remaining batsmens. Great Shewag

Sachin and veeru can never be compared.they are in a different league all togather. Sachin has been very consistant in his performance while . . veeru lacks tht consistance.Sachin drafts himself according to the format of the game while veeru jus knows one style of play. which works for him. Sachin is a legend . . . but if veeru goes on the same way . . . he is a legend in the making. An awesome display of batting today though.
Re: will sehwag make fastest triple century tomorrow?

sehwag already hold the record for scoring the fastest triple hundred.... he can now break his own record if he get to make 300 in this test

by vinay on Dec 03, 2009 08:56 PM
if he completes his triple tomoro, then the score of 400 needs to b broken record held by lara. such records can b broken only by sehwag.

I remember reading the commentary for Astle's 222. He scored 64 in 3 overs. It was the fastest by quite a stretch. NZ chased 566 and folded for 450 . It was the highest 4th innings losing total ever. NZ went from 333-9 to 397-9 in 3 overs. What an innings it was!! Gilly's 212 was against South Africa 2 weeks earlier. A short lived record.
