Sanjeev Sir,
If they are staying months away from family, it's because they can't play international matches sitting at home. That's necessary. They are not doing any favour to anyone. They crow about being professionals.Where does the so called professionalism vanish when it comes to WADA ? Everyone is aware of the invasion to privacy issue. These players are not unique. And it is about curbing the menace of drugs in sports. So they have certain obligations. And you should understand the rationale behind the WADA code. It's to catch the cheats who use drugs when not playing. This issue has come up often during the last two years. So try to be rational rather than emotional.

How about the tennis players, the golfers, the badminton players, olympians of indians sport. They dont get paid half as much as cricketers earn in a month. Still they dont have any problem wtih WADA. DO u think players like Roger Federer, Rafa Nadal are less busiers than ur demi gods????

Rafel nadal didnt signed with full will.. he objected very strongly against this. He has been forced to sign. Dont write rubbish. Every humna being has the right to protect him self and has the right to say his openion. If your company brought a rule like this, will you obay with out aby objection ?

if some people are ready to become slave, it doesn't justify that you should also accept slavery.

People who want to be masters have slavery embedded in their minds.Following rules does not make you a slave.

These Indian demi gods think that they can do anything and get aw
by Hindustani on Aug 09, 2009 11:57 AM

These Indian demi gods think that they can do anything and get away with it just bcoz there is no other sport in india which is a strong as cricket money wise. The arrogance of Yuvraj Singh and Harbhajan singh needs to be controlled by the board. The big names of international sport like Roger federer, Rafa Nadal, Tiger woods did not see any problems with it then who r these so called international sportsmen to have an objection.

Why only Dhoni, Yuvraj, Harbhajan and Sachin are against WADA ?

Dhoni, Yuvraj and Harbhajan are most Physically Well Built in the team. Why only they are opposing WADA? Are they guilty of taking some banned substance .

Moreover, Sachin is trying to overcome his Tennis Elbow and Groin injuries and wants to sustain upto 2011 WC. Is he also taking some such stuff which would not pass dope test ?

Who are Sachin Tendulkar, Dhoni , Yuvraj and Harbhajan ?

Cricket is played in only 8 countries out of about 200 countries. Even in countries like England, West Indies, SA it is not the No. 1 sports.

So Cricket is basically a LOW GRADE SPORTS when looked from International perspective.

So who are Sachin Tendulkar, Dhoni , Yuvraj and Harbhajan ?
So called Gods/Greats/Heroes of A LOW GRADE SPORTS.
And they are questioning WADA !!
I am a BIG FAN of Cricket, and this is the ONLY sport I follow. But it pains me when our Cricketers behave like this.
Basically they are pampered by fans , including myself.
But we should NOT LOOSE POINT OF VIEW FROM A BROADER PERSPECTIVE.

Rambo,
If only more people had thoughts like you and stopped treating cricketers as demi-gods,we would hve been no.1 in cricket long back.Instead a country like SA is no.1 now overtaking the mighty aussies.
It is shameful that a country like SA which was banned from playing intl.cricket for so many years had overtaken India to become no.1.
It is because of cricketers like these that India has never been no.1.

You are right Ajai.It has come to a stage that to watch good test matches , you need to look at non indian series.I found Aus - SA and the Ashes tests a lot more interesting.I guess its lot to do with the media hype surrounding the indian matches ..and there by the essence of the game is lost to a certain extent.

you are right. No sportsperson can be above law.Even Rafael Nadal had initially opposed WADA but later fell in line.WADA is an internationally recognised body with more than 200 countries.

May be other dont know who they are? But Cricket is a religion in India.
All 102 billion people belongs to that. One more thing Sachin have more fans that Cris Ronaldo. Its not about rules other sign(Nadal, federer ..etc) but how it suites for our players.

by rkdmumbai on Aug 09, 2009 11:10 AM

Bhaji is worried because WADA will ask about his whereabouts when he is giving posses for advertisement.
He and Dhoni had rejected to attend the ceremony of President of India for accepting prestigous award because they were giving posses for the advertisement .
Down with these Indian Cricket Players who will do anything for earning money

We took a poll in our college and about 80% agreed with Yuvi saying that cricket neing different from other sports, they deserve privacy in ther off season.JUst because Federer and Nadal have signed it, dosent mean that the code is perfect. Cricket is totally different from other sports in the sense that our players are on tour 9/12 months. And not just that, they have to adjust to foreign climate, food and also spend 8 hrs/day on the field. Tennis players just spend max 2 hr/day playing matches. Cricketers deserve time with their families and not appear for some stupid test in their lmited off season

@Nisha,
I dont think u know tennis....tennis players played tennis in almost all the year and they did not played in 8 countries, they played many..........so if u know math,u can predict who toured most.......and by the way those 2 hrs of a tennis match is much tougher(physically and mentally) than any full 5 days test cricket match.........

so dont compare tennis with cricket.......and by the way,to make sports clean,WADA rules are absolutely fine......cricketers can take drugs in their offtime(like Akhtar and Asif) and they will not get caught later......to remain sports drugs free cricketers have to sacrifice something like other sportsperson..........
and by the way dont u think beckham, federer have private life too

finally illiterate like u can only say this is stupid test
