Fans of Ganguly = Fans of Rajnikanth
by kuldip nair on Apr 24, 2009 05:11 PM  | Hide replies

KKR is losing because of dirty games played by Ganguly. Since childhood, he has always acted royal. Was never 12th man of the team, never went on ground with drinks or towel.
But Calcutta loves him, Even if he is 157 yrs old, they would want thim to captain calcutta. Winning doesnt matter for calcutta.

Ganguly has his own share of plus and minus points.
This IPL, he is able to bowl resonably well plus bat quite well.
It was sad to his face y'day...he was so determined to win. I thought he deserved it.

Compare the CSK and KKR owners
by vathula on Apr 24, 2009 05:07 PM  | Hide replies

CSK owners, India Cements have owned a private cricket club at top level for the last 40 years. Dhoni, in his colums last year in IPl 2008, said that he is happy that he plays for a team owned by people who know a lot about cricket. Compare that with KKR....hmmmm...less said the better!

Is he Indian?
by Anurag Rathore on Apr 24, 2009 04:21 PM  | Hide replies

Oh man! Yusuf has mighty Australian mentality. We can't see any pressure on Yusuf face in any situation. He will play a big role in India team like Symonds did for Australia in last 6-7 years.

Ganguly and SRK
by Seth Bhagwandas on Apr 24, 2009 03:43 PM  | Hide replies

Ganguly has so much of money that he can 4 SRK in one night and will still be ready to purchase few more . But will abandon plan considering extra more will add no Value. Gangu should kick SRk and buy KKR.

BRING BACK DADA THE ROYAL BENGAL TIGER AS A CAPTAIN IN KKR.
MCCULUM LOOKS LIKE A CLASS SIX MONITOR WHO WANTS TO MANAGE CLASS X.
SO ONLY SOLN GANGULY WHO CAN MOTIVATE THE BENGALI LOCAL PLAYER AS WELL AS THE OTHER INTL PLAYER. AS BECAUSE END OF THE DAY CAPTENCY NEED SOME BRAIN WHICH DADA HAS VERY MUCH.

The reason why KKR will never succeed.
by Abhishek Jain on Apr 24, 2009 03:35 PM  | Hide replies

Till the time Shahrukh khan is there with KKR, this team is not going to win (not even reach the semi final). SRK projects himself as the god of the team and that he has bought the entire city. As a player, Ganguly and other international players have done well in cricket. But playing in KKR feels like playing for their master SRK. He makes any player feel that he is the god and he has bought that player. Now go, play and win and earn some money for me (like you do to your dog). This is the reason KKR will never have killer instinct in them to put that extra effort.

This is true for any team where the owner is portraying himself/herself bigger than the team and conveys the image that he has bought all of them. The teams where the owners are not that visible will always do good (Delhi, Rajasthan, Chennai etc).

I am glad to learn that so many people are hating SRK this much. Both SRK & Buchanan did not play a single ball in ICC recognised ground and both criticized Gavaskar. B_a_t_r_d

Well almost right. Rajasthan has a visible owner in Shilpa Shetty. Maybe Delhi, Chennai and Deccan should be ok.

Sper Captains!
by hari krishnan on Apr 24, 2009 02:54 PM  | Hide replies

The deciding Super over clearly showed the gross difference between the thinking abilities of the two captains : Shane Warne and McCullum. You see Yusuf Pathan walking out to bat and then you choose Mendis to bowl? Lord, that is poor thinking! Or no thinking! I hope SRK and KKR do not rue their decision about dropping Ganguly as their captain! Buchanan, earn your hefty pay cheque! Dont play politics!

its actually the other way. First fielding team choose the bowler and then batting team choose the 3 batsmen. Anyway it was close, entertaining just didnt workout in KKR's favor, happens in cricket

yeah thats true... but anybody could have guessed that Yusuf will play super over and still McCullum opted for Mendis. sign of very poor captaincy indeed.
