Dada played superb knock but its hard luck of KKR could not made at the end and Yusuf made it very easy in Super Over. Dada must open the inning in next matches if KKR wants to be in the series.

Dada's innings was a fabulous innings which brot the match from a lost match to a won match. It was Mac Cullum's captaincy which made the KKR's lose the match. How can he give the ball to mendis who was already hit for towering sixes before and doesnot he know that Yousuf Pathan is a good player of spin bowling. That was ridiculous! MacCullum being a foreign player does not know the strength and weakness of the local Indian players. What was coach John Buchanann doing?? He seems to be a different person. What a change in captaincy has done, nothing other than a disaster! Change the captaincy to Sourav- The Champion

NO, this is not politics, and Dada is not certainly a Politician. Its becoming increasingly clear where this KKR team is heading to in this IPL season. Dada does not need anybody's mercy to b a Captain. He plays the game on his own terms w/o any self interest in mind. If he has been the Captain for long, its because of his abilities and bcoz he knew the team (read National team) requires his Captraincy. He is not a greedy politician who will run after the highest post. Dada shud reject all Captaincy offers.... Dada is a self-respected man. Its shameful that the entire nation had to watch the repeated humiliation of a personnel who has been an inspiration to one and all of us. If at all any change is to be effected, its to b in the form of removing John Buchannan and SRK from KKR. Aamir Khan can b the best choice to replace SRK. And y do V require only Aussie coaches who get threatened by Dada's popularity and go out to any length to oust him? Y can't V have a home grown coach? Do V ever C an Indian/ Asian Coach for an Aussie side? No, coz they r racists...

If he opens then definitely target will be some where near 110 to 120.... According to me cricket is gone for ganguly, openers shud play the attacking game in T20 , he was a attacking player but not now.... He really gets fear while facing fast bowlers ...

in normal situation its fine to have gayle & macullum to open the innings but macullum seems to be out of sorts now. And after yesterday ganguly would be pretty confident to face any type of bowling

Vikram You're not very good at maths neither you've observation capability.Dada's strike rate was 153.33 and remember he wasnt there in the 1st 6 overs.U'r super player maccullum and gayle didnt have a strike rate like this.Have u ever touched a cricket bat??

rajarshi dont make doubt abt gayle's capability...he is a nice player n super striker of the ball...his head is very kool...KKR needs him..
Really shane warne turned out to be a good captain... He utilized all his resources at the right time ... fantastic warne... yousuf was brilliant so as youngster kamran ... Munaf shud be sent back to india and let him give company to kaif

KRR lost the match due to Mac Cullum's captaincy. How can he take a spiner in the super over, does no he know that Yousuf Pathan is a good player of spin bowling??
Re: Re: Good warne...
by satarupa sen on Apr 24, 2009 01:03 PM
I agree that sending Medias was wrong but the logic you are saying is incorrect. As per the rules, first the captains say who the bowlers are and then the teams choose the 3 batsmen accordingly. But that being said, decision to go with Mendis defied logic because 1.the ball was wet and difficult to grip 2. anybody could have guessed that Yusuf will be one of the 3 batsmen from RR.

Don't blame it on McCullum for last over. It will be a team decision and everyone ie Buchanan, Gayle,Ganguly, McCullum ... would be involved. So its wrong to blame one person.

Can bowl, well Manoj tiwary can bowl so is Laxman. We dont call them Allrounders. You're comparing him with the one of the greatest allrounders of all time??You lost it bigtime.Let me tell you at the time of selection or better if you watch the pre match shows where teams are shown and a tag is attached to each and every player like (Wk,Bowler etc) you can find Raina tagged as a batsman only.

McCullam is now facing the same problem which Dravid had when Dada was in the team. It is high time Dada leaves the scene with whatever self-respect if he at all has in him.

You Motherchods dont know cricket.Dravid was heavily kicked by Mallya last year. There was a label attached to RCB that a bunch of Test Cricketers in T 20 due to dravid and Kallis.
Re: McCullam will go the Dravid way

This can happen when one get something that he doesnt deserve and one is deprived. Rahul Dravid is not a captaincy material and never deserved to be the captain and it seems so is macullum. However i like macullum's free hitting batting.
He have to get 7 Runs of the last over and the bowler unknown face still he count not get those 7 runs eventually end up on the losing the match shame on you Dada.

His innings may be superb , but wats the use ... he was striking the last over n spoiled the match by giving away two dot balls(including his wicket)in the climax that to wen needed... In the end we cant blame Ishanth bcos he is a bowler n cant expect from him ... ganguly shud hav done it n yasphal shud hav not played that worst shot at dat situation ... Match Tied instead of a easy win by ganguly n lost bcos of useless decission by McCullum

His 'superb innings' would have been more meaningful had his team was victorious. The bowler Kamran was playing his first match and bowling to a veteran of nearly 100 tests.
Re: Re: Re: Re: 7 runs in last over - Shame on you Dada
by sdfgdfsgdfg dfgdfgsdfg on Apr 24, 2009 02:51 PM
yes, even I observed, he comes running in and throws the ball like Shahid Afridi does on some occasions to get that extra pace. If U see Kamran's run-up is slow, unlike Shoaib Akhtar. So, Kamran has to resort to throwing the ball to genrate pace, unlike the legendary Thompson ho wud use the shoulders (and not the elbow) to generate pace. Neverthless, Kamran can learn - he is only 18 now... Hats off to Shane Warne - entrusts Kamran with the last over. Poor John, SRK - take some leadership lessons from Shane Warne and Dada, who wud instill confidence in players rather than breaking the team and the confidence by playing political cards.

Ganguli was not behind this defeat. He helped the Team to Tie the match from a definite defeat. But it was Gayle or Mendis to be blamed for the defeat.

dravid and laxman would have won the match for their team in the same situation. ganguly can not do that . yesterday he scored some runs "RamBharose". Now all his supporters will take that score for the lifetime and claim that he has so much cricket left in him.

After looking at the both matches yesterday, it was clear that a team cannot win even if they have many top players, but only the team spirit will fetch the victory at the end of the day. It was clearly proven through RR due to Warne's leadership qualities. He was really highly spirited, dedicated through out the match. He was tensed all along and transformed it to other players as well. However, he never forgot to appreciate the players whenever they had achieved / contributed to the team. Dhoni should learn this quality from Warne and Gilchrist. They are the great leaders so far. Dhoni, just by keeping himself cool will not be able to fetch the victory... Time will make Indians to realise this point.
Re: Dhoni should learn from Warne

I fully agree with you. What a great captaincy by Warne, busy motivating the team throughout and thinking differently.
Re: Dhoni should learn from Warne

Agreed. It was superb captaincy by Warne. Its Warne who took the right decisions, to bowl with Kamran and bat with Yusuf. The field settings were excellent. Lotta things for Dhoni to learn from Warne.
In IPL KKR is overrated team....They don't have right balance and more over controversies. Mr.SRK this is not movie does not go as if you want... this is cricket.

Give Dada the due respect and make the team work as one..... this KKR will be out of IPL well before they did last year....

By changing the captaincy,SRK & Buchanan have messed up the batting abilities of Mecullum and KKR's fortunes.
