Dhoni won 2 toss but lost both matches. He lost 1 toss but won the match.
He again proved wrong to his criticizers who said Dhoni won the match when he won the toss.

KICK OUT MATHEW HAYDEN.
by Junior Shelly on Apr 24, 2009 03:43 PM  | Hide replies

MATHEW HAYDEN SHOULD BE KICKED OUT OF THE IPL. HE IS NOT A GOOD 20-20 PLAYER. HE JUST HITS HUGE SIXES AND FOURS. NOTHING ELSE.

Happy Birthday Mr. Sachin Tendulkar
by LG on Apr 24, 2009 02:24 PM

There is no doubt Mr. Sachin Tendulkar along with Don Bradman is as the best batsmen ever to play the game of cricket. I admire him for his dedication to his profession and his very humble nature.

He has been and is the most successful and most loved cricketer because he as a cricketer and as a human being has been evolving all the time and adjusting according to demands of the situation, time, and the era.

I wish him happy and healthy birthday. I wish and am sure that all his dreams would come true.

sachin is uncomparable
by Amar on Apr 24, 2009 02:08 PM

i believe there is no comparision with sachin because he himself is comparision. I am great fan of sachin if anybody compare him with this modern era player simply i hate it. I am watching him from last 15years he has not changed that much but from last 2years he has made some changes in his batting style but does he made it or those changes came because of pressure i don't know. His early 90's form and his strokes are admirable but these days he is playing silly strokes, means he is using his head more than his natural instinct i just want to know that what happened to that sachin who is more fluent and aggressive than anybody else.

Four teams that might make to semi finals
by LG on Apr 24, 2009 01:40 PM  | Hide replies

An ideal but realistic team, which has
Two consistently performing batsmen (one at the top and one in the middle)
And two consistently wicket-taking bowlers would win the T20/20 Championship (whether IPL or world cup), as I believe that in T20/20 it is the individual performance that wins matches.
The four teams that would make semifinal could be
DC
MI
BRC
DD
Do you all agree?

Can you tell why you think so? CSk has only a consistently performing batsman--Hayden. If he fails , team will lose.

What do you mean by match winners?
Why could they not win yesterday against DD when hayden and Raina gave them the perfect start---you may see such start often in a chase of 180 or more runs. Do not give match winner tag to Dhoni, flintoff, and Morkel when they have not done anything to deserve that tag.

yes Hayden is a match-winner. Raina--maybe.

Devillier's magic!
by naveen dhanerwal on Apr 24, 2009 01:22 PM  | Hide replies

Strange! Nobody is talking about Devillier’s batting! What an inning he played yesterday. Cool, composed and well paced inning! He kept his wicket and rotated strike well when Dilshan was hitting and hammared Chennai's bowlers all around the ground in final overs. Hitting a century in 20-20 match is not an easy one. He showed that he's capable of being a world class batsmen yesterday.

He is one player who has all qualities of great batsman.

Others are just hyped. To name a few...Sehwag, Gambhir, Smith, Petterson.

shock for CSK
by Harish Iyer on Apr 24, 2009 01:19 PM

1. First DD on mat with gambhir and sehwag gone.
2. DD on top with DIlshan and Devillers firing(2-20 ov)
3. CSK on top with Hydo firing(1-12 overs)
4. CSK flop with middle order and lower middle order collapse.(12-20 ov)
It was a match CSK should have won.!

Dhoni exposed. What CSK needs to…
by LG on Apr 24, 2009 12:59 PM  | Hide replies

1. Kick out Dhoni from the team
2. Make Boucher the Captain
3. Badrinath at number 3 if he is in the team

Without any doubt, it is now known to everyone that Dhoni was hiding behind the match winners of Indian team and enjoying the success without any contribution so much so that people mistook him for a great captain and good batsman. (Where pitch is to flat and with good score on card, he always promotes himself to #3 or #4. But when ball is doing a bit, he is one coming in the end just before tail).

He has been exposed by this IPL in SA. Also in a match against MI he did not cross over when there was enough time, which showed his real character—A timid man.

A more balanced CSK team could be:
1.Hayden
2. M Vijay
3. Badrinath
4. Raina
5. Flintoff / Jacob Oram /Albie Morkel
5. Boucher
6. Parthiv
7.J Sharma
8. Gony
9. Balaji
10. Muralitharan
11. Sudeep Tyagi

When Ashwini Replaces Murali, CSK should play both Flintoff and Albie both (Albie in place of Parthiv)

Sorry, I did not know that.
Well than, Parthiv will keep wicket (He has to put his best efforts)
Nitini, Jacob or Albie comes in place of Boucher.

Make Badri/Hayden/Flintoff captain.

Joginder sharma is good slow medium bowler who can contain batsman more often than not and can slog.

My Main Bowlers would be
Balaji, Gony, Flintoff, Sudeep Tyagi.
Filling in for a off-day main bowler would be Albie and Joginder

LG, yaar chill out!
You can keep just 4 foreign player in the team and I think Flintof, Hayden, Morkel/Oram and Murli are the best choise. Yeah I'm agreed with what Joginder Sharma is doing in the team?

CSK should make team changes
by vathula on Apr 24, 2009 12:58 PM

Bring Ashwin and Oram and remove Muralidharan and Joginder. Then they have 3 big hitters Flintoff, Oram and Morkel. Looks like Dhoni does not trust Muralidharan. Look how KP gives 4 overs to Kumble, Warne using Yusuf and himself; Viru using Vettori; Gilly using Ojha. If Dhoni doesn't trust Murali, he can drop him; plz dont waste a foreign player quota. Give that to Oram.
