and so is ryder and taylor - greatest disappointment - they let the banglore team down. - Mallya replaced the captain with McCullan in place of Dravid. What is the contribution of McCullan. Dravid is fit like a fiddle and batting like a mastero.

Look slowly-slowly foreigners are taking the charge of captaincy from Indian. These IPL owners are purely businessman don’t care about the sentiments of aam aadmi. We Indian rely most on foreigners than Indian.

It is people like you who make big headaches for the rest who are trying to enjoy things in life. T20 is just entertainment put up to make money & nothing else.
Also what if a foreign player is a captain of a team? The ex skipper was just given because he was the icon player or was from the city.
You are a KKR fan right? Probably crying cause ganguly got sacked & KKR are doing badly in 2nd IPL too.

No need to cry for ganguly if ur a KKR fan, coz Kolkata has been dropped from "Kolkata Knight Riders", it is official now.

I think ur r from Kolkatta, disappointed with Ganguly's issue. Give importance to talent not to racism. If foreigners are becoming captains, let them, because they came to that position because of hard work, not like recommendations from politicians. If possible try to learn from players like Gilchrist, who are real sports person.

he called retirement to earn money from IPL as he could not earn such amount by playing for Australia. The poor CA is unable to provide them so much money.Aussies are most selfish then Indian as they prefers money against their national interest.

Yes National interest ,how many world cups does our greats have brought us,look at gilly he has contributed in winning three.
Re: IRFAN PATHAN should seek out Leg Spin bowling coaches!!!!
by Jay on Apr 23, 2009 08:28 AM
That is not a bad idea. There were some good players who bowled as a pacer and sometimes as a spinner. The first big name that comes to mind is Sobers. Even India's Karsan Ghavri (who was a medium pacer) bowled as a spinner at times effectively. Irfan anyway is not a teeraway fast bowler and can easily try his hand at least to supplement to his bowling.
Irfan is a gr8 all rounder, but he is getting easlily picked up by batsman all over the world. I think he needs variations in his bowling. If he can emulate atleast 0.1% of Kumble he can be a threat. Remember, Kumble himself started as a pace bowler!! It is pathetic to see him get thrashed repeatedly over the last few years!! But his batting has improved during these years!!
Re: Irfan Pathan: leg spin bowling?
by chakravarty devulapalli on Apr 23, 2009 08:01 AM
he just needs to be a wicket taking bowler and i don't care really what he bowls but I think leg spin bowling would be of some help to him.
Re: Irfan Pathan: leg spin bowling?
by Jay on Apr 23, 2009 08:33 AM
He should watch Zaheer and learn. Also should study from some of the old games where Wasim Akram or Kapil bowled great spells. Irfan is not able to bowl at good length consistently in Tests and ODIs. That has been the reason for his failure.
Pragyan Ojha completely flummoxed kevin pietersen and had the most outstanding bowling figure. You would think someone would notice that. It's foaking getting to a point where it's become sickening.
Re: Pragyan Ojha
by jaat on Apr 23, 2009 07:49 AM
mediocre spinners like ojha still have a long way to go better spinners like mishra and chawla are also in the fray besides india needs a good right arm orthodox leg spinner

Mediocre you understand the meaning of the word or not.How do u explain him beating KP in flight??
Re: Re: Re: Pragyan Ojha
by jaat on Apr 23, 2009 08:41 AM
u clown pietersen has been more mediocre than ashish nehra in batting so its not a big deal if he got his wicket ojha would be hit outta attack in the remaining matches u wait and see
Re: Re: Re: Re: Pragyan Ojha
by Kalinga Putra on Apr 23, 2009 08:57 AM
Pietersen is worse than Nehra. Are u plain dumb or mentally retarded.Go watch hockey if u lack brains for cricket.

Abey Punjabi monkey , foaking porki lovers.I am in hosh, u go get a brandy .May be then u will be able to think.By the way is it 12 yet on your clock??
I think: He needs some variations in his bowling. Ideally at his pace, if he can learn the flipper and googly from Anil Kumble he can be a destructive bowler!!
