Kolkata: It’s not just Kolkata’s icon Sourav Ganguly who has been dropped from captaining Shah Rukh Khan’s IPL team this season. The name “Kolkata” has been dropped from all Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) merchandise.
The team is still called KKR, but official sources said this could change to Knight Riders in the next IPL season.

'Kolkata' dropped from Kolkata Knight Riders
Kolkata: It’s not just Kolkata’s icon Sourav Ganguly who has been dropped from captaining Shah Rukh Khan’s IPL team this season. The name “Kolkata” has been dropped from all Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) merchandise.
The team is still called KKR, but official sources said this could change to Knight Riders in the next IPL season.
Sources in Reebok, the official merchandise partner for the team, said it was Shah Rukh Khan-owned company’s decision. Hence, the city’s name has been dropped from all T-shirts, socks and accessories.
“KKR is more popular as Shah Rukh Khan’s team than for Kolkata. So, merchandise sales will not be affected. Also, shifting base to other cities like Ahmedabad will help the company manage its administrative issues better . Dropping ‘Kolkata’ from the team’s merchandise will bring worldwide appeal,” said sources.

It's appreciable because they don't have Symonds this time which was best in last season.

In last season Laxman played well, but unfortunately he got injury and missed some matches. It hurted DC in last season. Gilly will never drop Laxman.

No doubt he is a great player, but lazy in fielding and running between wickets.but still he can rock

My guess is that Laxman was not really injured last season but was directed to fake one so that Gilly can be made captain for the matches that remained at that time.
This guess is confirmed, since subsequently the franchisee formally dropped Laxman as captain and made Gilly captain, along side changing the coach also. (Darren Lehman replacing Robin Singh)
In spite of being a senior pro, Laxman appears so stupefied while at the crease. The cardinal principle in the shorter versions of the game for a batsmen walking in at the fall of a top order wicket should be to immediately look for singles.
This will allow the batsman at the other hand to play his strokes while warming up the newcomer's body and legs so that he can start playing his strokes a little later.
Yesterday, Laxman was appearing to look for boundaries from the word go in the process not being able to score singles and give the maximum strike to Gilly who was on fire.
It wouldn't be a surprise, if Laxman is dropped for DC's next match.
The teams in which foreign players along with indian players performing well are winning the matches, the The teams in which foreign palyers are flop are not doing well even though indian players are playing well. freinds, do you agree with this ?

yes.you are right. In RCB the young indian players who got chance are not playing well. they should grab this oppurtunity with both hands. I think they should make changes in their batting order. Uthappa looks very rusty and out of touch

Yes I agree. But RCB will bounce back. Uthappa, Ryder and R.Taylor definitely win some matches alone for their team. Like Hayden did for CSK, Gilly and Gibbs did for DC.
