Bengalis must boycott SRK's films. He has insulted DADA and the hurt the sentiments of Bengalis. I hope SRK goes loses big money from IPL2.

What is wrong with that, When u can argue about stupid things like who is better between Sachin Tendulkar and MS DHoni then we can argue over this as well :-)
When m0r0ns like Sachin bashers can write anything :-)

Kiske wicket jyada hai, Kisne test matches zyada khele hai, Kaun woh spinner hai jisne 750 test match wickets aur 520 ODI wickets liya hai :-)
Apart from the vetarans/seniors who are not there in Indian 20-20 team, Only Viru, Rohit and Bhajji did well so far. Raina and Dhoni are average but all others disappointed

Do you think they will be included in the final eleven - P.ojha vs Bhajji, RP singh still long way to go and P Kumar not as impressive.
Re: Re: Re: Performance of Indian players in IPL2
by Anurag Rathore on Apr 21, 2009 12:41 PM
I can't say about P.Ojha. But RP Singh and P.Kumar will definitely get chance in playing X1 of T-20 WC.
Since all the old players is handy now in SA. CSK should ask for the services of Srikanth and LS for few matches. Mumbai can try Sunny and Delhi can use Yashpal

you can add the following to your suggestions:
1. gundappa viswanath for RCB 2. javagal srinath for RCB 3. ravi shastri (if he has time after all the gallavanting that he does) for MI 4. mandira bedi for any team that accepts her (am sure Vijay Mallya would put the highest bid on her, ~2 million !)

Don't worry you will be sent to Pakistan 20/20 tournament representing LTTE Aero-Suiciders, competing with teams like LeT Market-bombers, JeM Suicide-bombers, Afghan-Taliban Girl-Floggers, Paki-Taliban Beard-worshippers, etc...
Re: Re: Re: Only

They will compete with Incest-allafamily, multiple-wife-allafamily, cut-the-d1ck squad, kick-myself shias, marry-my-doter allafamily, and other big competitors.

You stupid dog, if i can call you. Dont you leave in this world. He is one captain who lead India so well in the past 2 decades. We have been no 2 team after a long time.
As pointed out by a fellow blogger, CSK should have won their first match against MI.
Their bowling and fielding could have been better - Hayden dropped a simple catch, a couple of runouts went abegging and Freddie was rusty. Yet, 166 was not difficult to chase.
The trouble started when Raina fell, trying to hit a big shot, which was not required at that stage of the game. Hayden and Flintoff got good starts but failed to go on.
Sooner Badrinath is dropped from the squad, better it is for CSK. He is basically a good test prospect. In the shorter version, he has nothing to offer except fielding.
What happened to Vidyut Sivaramakrishnan? Why not include M Vijay as opener with Hayden and drop Parthiv down the order? After all, Vijay is a right hander and a right left combo will help CSK's cause.
What happened to Ntini? Since the game is played in SA, Morkel and Ntini should play most games. Perhaps the shrewd MSD is holding him back for later games to surprise the opposition.
Balaji is uninspiring, to say the least.
I have full belief in MSD's leadership and am sure that CSK will reach the finals this year too and hopefully lift the cup.

vidyut, anirudha and 3 others are being sent back home.. freddie will be playing till may 9 as he has to return to his national duty for tour against West indies. So MSD will be using him as a bowler till that time..after that Ntini will come.. Thushara, hayden, murali, morkel, oram will all be there till the finals.. parthiv could be dropped as MSD himself can keep behind the wickets..he can play M Vijay on behalf of parthiv..badrinath should be dropped..he has given enough chances to prove which he did not.. jogindher shd be dropped for few matches to give chances for other southies like palani amarnath..
Re: Musings
by Sriram Rags on Apr 21, 2009 11:49 AM
Its because of the stupidity of Dhoni. When he has a very good spinner like Ramkumar, he should have tried him. And i dont know why you have so many bowlers. You have Morkel, Jogindher, Balaji, Gony, Murali, Flintoff.
In the first match Ramkumar was not even used. He needs to pick his team properly.

Vijay, yes.
A big no no to Badrinath and Balaji. See my post above. How do you say MSD is discouraging these two? Whether at the behest of MSD or Srinivasan (owner of team) or Srikkanth (Manager?) these two are unnecessarily occupying their place in the team and spoiling the team's prospects.
Forget about north and south, root for a winning combination. IPL is here to stay, in course of time we will see good players from TN emerge and stake a claim to inclusion in future.
BTW, if TN accepts film stars from north, why not cricket stars?
Re: Re: Dhoni not supporting South Players
by Shravanuniversan on Apr 21, 2009 11:22 AM
balaji shd be retained..his bowling was good yesterday..he was instrumental in last season too..he is also a hard hitter of the ball..remember the sixes he hit of shoib in pakistan?
Re: Re: Re: Dhoni not supporting South Players
by aficionado on Apr 21, 2009 11:35 AM
Mr Shravan, you definitely follow CSK well as seen from your reply to my other post above.
Regarding Balaji, his bowling is not the same as it used to be in 2004 in Pakistan. Yesterday, he was bowling mostly inswingers on or outside legstump to the right handed batsmen and giving away runs, which could be suicidal in situations when CSK may defend smaller totals. Even his run-up seems to suggest that he is not 100 percent fit physically.
Anyway, these pitfalls will be glossed over so long as the team is winning.

i agree with u..but we do not have any other bowler from india who could be a match winner?
Re: Re: Re: Dhoni not supporting South Players

Totally agree with Aficionado on Balaji..Balaji is a dud.. I think he was a major reason for us losing in the finals last year and he has never looked confident.. Loosing Freddie might not be a great loss.. I think once Ntini is in it will good as he knows the local conditions better..so it will good for CSK
