Rahul begun his one day career also with lots of turmoil. People said he only fit for test cricket. But time has proven that what metal he had. Now he is proving his T20 talent with excellent knock in bolwers pitch. Kumble hats-off to you dear for your lagendary veteran knock.

Hey guest, why do you pile on to Shivu for a typo? Keep cool man! Shivu, the correct quote is by Robert Fulghum and it is "Tough Times never last but Tough People do!" Oh, and some Afghans do speak English that would put you to shame!

Sorry the correct quote says seldom and not never! My mistake.
Dravid and Kumble have played tough honest cricket for the last 20 odd years. Even in the age of T20, they proved that they are real, hard playing cricketers. Last IPL, Dravid led the team from front, 4 wins and another 4 close matches, Dravid actually did well compared to any team captain. Though Dravid lost his post to KP, Dravid showed everyone what team spirit is. He was showing positive body language and supported KP as a senior player. Kumble, though out of cricket came back with IPL best bowling figures of 5/5. Karnatak people should be really proud of them. Even commentators could not find words to praise these honest hard playing stalwarts. HATS OFF TO DRAVID and KUMBLE.

I think dravid is better off as a batsman than captain... let him concentrate on batting and regain all the lost glory...

rightly said prashant......dravis is a very good batsman...he should be allowed to bat and not captain.....so he can concentrate on his batting....
I am very happy to see Dravid being a match winner in this format. The way he showed his bat to the pavilion on reaching his fifty, shows how much imp he gives to his wicket and he has the guts to tune his play as per the format, definitely proving his critics wrong. Good luck to Rahul.
Only people who can play straight will shine in T20. This the way I see it
can play straight and has impeccable timing - eg. Shewag, Tendulkar- open
Has immense power and plays cross bat - middle the order eg - yuvraj, Dhoni
can Play straight but need help with the field being up - Dravid He really will outshine all the crossbats like Hayden (chennai) or Uthappa (Bangalore) who they send out to open in this form.
Very few people can play as straight as Dravid and anyone who does must always open.
Well, all Dravid baiters must now be eating humble pie, including Mallya. The innings today under tremendous pressure and in bowler friendly conditions, with his own team owner against him......just goes on to prove what a tough competitor he is. Sad that just because he does not have a colorful personality for the media to promote, or reckless style of play like the other players, his worth was not appreciated ever. Today, his statement at the presentation ceremony was too good."It is conditions like these that gives players like me a chance". How true. He is the best and only the best survive in the toughest conditions. Look what happened to all the big so called T20 players who everyone was tom tomming......Jesse Ryder, Ross Taylor, Utthappa, Yusuf Pathan....
