IPL vs ICL
by rajesh roul on Apr 20, 2009 10:46 AM  | Hide replies

I can not understand on what ground BCCI is saying NO to ICL. They do not have powers to say so. BCCI is not a Government Organization, contrary to other Sports like Hockey, and Foodball, which is governed by Sports Ministry of India. First of all BCCI a non-Governmental Organization taking undue advantage of taking India's name when they play, that is completely illegal. Sports Ministry should take control of Cricket now, and sack these officials from BCCI. BCCI does not have any rights at all to take the name of India when they play against other countries. Sachin Tendulkar, and other players are saying that they are playing for India. I should put this in a straightforward manner, they are playing for BCCI. Next time you see a India Vs Pakistan or any other country, it should be BCCI Vs Pakistan or other country. In every country Cricket is goverened by Government, why not in India. This is completely riddiculous. For example, when Cricket was introduced in the Commonwealth game, BCCI, sent a second ring of players to the game, while the majority of the team was playing in Toronto against Pakistan. What do you think of then? Do they play for India or BCCI? Definitely they play for BCCI. Recently it has been seen how they dis-regarded the indian national awards, while shooting for ad-films. They do not have any respects for India. Government should ban BCCI, and take control of that.

Well Done A.Nayar.....
by Anurag Rathore on Apr 20, 2009 10:08 AM  | Hide replies

A.Nayar is the man who changed the match scenario. Hayden wicket was turning point of the match. CSK missed A.Morkel in this match because he lost his kit before match.

It's not about individuals..... Flintoff's bowling or Nayar's good batting, etc.
well.. Not giving Ashwin even a single over is a terrible mistake, to say the least. Anyway....lets move on.

Keep up your `good' work Dhoni! May you ride on your sher luck!!
by K Chandru on Apr 20, 2009 03:15 AM  | Hide replies

`just witnessed the highlights of the yester year's final prior to today's first match in which poor badri was sent in when only 5 balls were remaining in the innings. Kapugadera was sent ahead of Badri in all the matches in the last edition.

Khudos to impartial Dhoni! Keep up your good work and may your sheer luck bring you many more laurels, which even far superior mortals could not achieve....

Last but not the least, Dhoni plays the most ugliest shots in the world.

Come on Dhoni's chamchas like Sameer, et al! Start barking...

Well said mate... Its very evident that dhoni is trying to undermine badri whenever he can... Its stupid sending a player purely included in the line up as a batsman at no 7.. It just doesnt make any cricketing sense but only non cricketing sense...

Not Mistakes but Weaknesses of Dhoni
by LG on Apr 19, 2009 03:00 PM  | Hide replies

Q1) Why was Murali dropped? (The spinners in all other 3 innings have done so well and any day Murali is better than Tharanga)
Q2) Why was Ashwin not given a single over? (R Ashwin is the second highest wicket taker in the domestic circuit last year. He is also in T30 probables while Joginder is not even there)
Q3) What was Flintoff's role at No.4? To build a partnership or to hit/ smack the ball? If the role was the former, then Badri or Dhoni would have been a better choice.
Q4) Why did Dhoni not cross over when Badri holed out to deep long on?
Q5) Why was Thushara not sent ahead of Joginder in battibng. Thushara has very big hitting capabilities.

Answers:

Actions taken by Dhoni yesterday were not mistakes but expose his weakness as a player and as a captain as well.

He has been hyped as an excellent Captain with cool and courage by few of his fans. But, in fact, he is ordinary, chicken (Darpok), and cannot win matches of his own. These weaknesses went when he was captaining India, as there were match-winner in SRT, Rahul, Sehwag, Ganbhir, Zaheer, and Ishant.

even if you look at IPL-I, he preferred Kapugadera over Badrinath even though Bdri performed so much better. It is not that one is blaming Dhoni after one loss. CSK management has given the best IPL team ever to CSK. Now it is up tho Dhoni to prove he is a fair player and not returning favours to Sachin, Bhajji and Zaheer.

Mar Kumar,
I have telling what I have written since long and even he was capatining India.
It is the people like you who are blind.
Dhoni is just overrated cricketer and chicken. It was he who was first to ask for increasing his security after Mubai attack.
I never like people like him.

I am happy If CSK Management takes the decision. Dhoni is against Chennaities so he should not lead the CSK. If it continues, no one will watch the CSK future matches
