This Indian Team is not the best ever
by BIBHAS BASUMATARY on Apr 13, 2009 02:20 AM

Why this Indian Team is not th best ever?
a) This is the period of FLAT Picthes - batsmen can clobber all bowlers
b) Non-existent of world class bowlers (like Imran Khan, Wasim Akram, Richard Hadlee, Denis Lilee, McGrath, Warne, Holding, Garner, Walsh, Ambrose, Marshal, even younger Vaas, Shane Bond, Shaun Pollock)
c) Indian Money - IPL etc. and India's clout in the Cricket economy has made it almost immpossible to enable moral fight against India. The opposing teams donot show any aggression. They are complacent and quite happy just to finish the proceeding and accept defeat gracefuly against India. Even Bret lee is worn out and Shoiab Akhtar is in his final stages. There are no good opposing bowlers.
Do you think Tendulkar, Dhoni or Yuvraj could have been able to hit these bowlers like they now do to all bowlers - who only bowl to make Indians happy.
I think India' best team was from 1983 to 1986. They won tournament outside the country against world class bowlers and had tremendous self belief and confidence.

dhoni - captaincy makes a lot of difference.
by vinay on Apr 09, 2009 10:41 PM

dhoni - captaincy makes a lot of difference.
the same ind team which played 2 tests against ausis at home, were draw under kumble's capt. but 2 victories under dhoni's capt.
in 2 tests in nz under dhoni's capt, 1 win n another win missed due to weather. but 1 test under veeru's capt, draw which was saved under lots of pressure.

so captaincy changes the fortunes of the team. a good capt is successful in geting the best out of his team.
even if the best team given to a bad capt, he cant win the matches.

ipl publicity stunts started this season.
by vinay on Apr 09, 2009 10:35 PM

ipl publicity stunts started this season.

mcgrath said sachin has abused him in 2000 champions trophy in nairoby. (must b slip of tongue by him instead of saying rather admitting i had abused sachin)

this seems to b ipl publicity stunt by lalit modi like last year, by hook or crook, giving publcity to the event the hike of it was bhajji santh slap gate.

Your request is pointless!

Sachin will retire when his bosses (sponsors, endorsement deal owners) understand that this launderer's don key (Sachin) has carried all the clothes he can and now needs to be let go!!

Importance of Decision-making
by LG on Apr 09, 2009 09:37 PM

Sometimes people have time to make decision and sometimes people have to make decisions spontaneously. Ability to make decisions that produce positive results is a very important skill and person with such skill is highly paid in corporate world and most sought after.

Let me tell you all, who are bent on defending this infamous deceleration in 3rd test just because Dhoni was the captain, that one does not get this decision making skills by defending one’s bad decisions.

I just wonder whether these self-proclaimed experts in cricket actually know the value and importance of taking a decision.

Re: AS IF WE WON THE WORLD CUP WITH 6 PLAYERS?
by Ajay Sinha on Apr 09, 2009 09:30 PM

Cricket stopped being a sport and became a business a long time ago!

It is a crying shame that people who make their money by dancing like transgenders on the silver screens are buying the game and trading the players like slaves!!

NZ's population is less than 0.4% of India's population....In fact Kanpur (UP) has more people than the whole of New Zealand.

Feeling great after defeating such a small country is pathetic.

Sachin's loving wife is asking him: "Huga-aicha Ka-ya?" as Sachin obviously looks "backed up"!!

Sorry for being impolite (not clarifying the meaning of that question in Ghaaatteee language)

"Huga-aicha Ka-ya?" means do you wanna dump in Dhoni's mouth??
