IPL has linked the fees to performance, various bottlenecks has also been cleaed (coach) so now team is performing what it is worth of. Nothing over. but proper rest and training needed for future
There are people who are hyping Dhoni by making statements: He is best wicketkeeper batsman? -----as for me he is an ordinary wicketkeeper and unpleasant to watch as a batsman He is best captain? He is cool, clever ….etc.---- He is neither brave nor cool. He is just an ordinary captain. He has not won a test in Australia and SA. (other captain have won)
And those same people are maligning SRT in whichever way they can.
Which show that these people actually do not believe in whatever good they say about Dhoni to hype him because they have to malign SRT or pull down a player of great caliber like SRT to justify their opinion about Dhoni.

bro i differ on this point that dhoni is not a gud captain...although his batting is not very conventional but is very effective at times and has bailed out the team at crucial times. His batting might be a bit week in tests but u can't point finger on his batting...thatz a bit uncalled for

Mr gurav, Can you mention points or actions he only took on the fields that you thinks make him a good captain or that resulted in victory (pl do not give me just one example as it can be an aberration).
It is Zaheer who sets felds. Fielding or batting first is a collective decision

For the info of a few asses who say that he has never won a test in Australia, the one test that we won last year in Australia was under complete captaincy of MS as Kumble was injured for that match(I think it was the 3rd test in Australia). Why don't people research the facts before commenting on the factors.

They are celebrating like as if they have won a something more than a Olympic medal.Whats so grt about winning a series once in a while against a small country in a game played by some few countries here and there. Cricket is played by some 10-12 countries.In India it has all the financial (&political)backing.They have been playing it for years and years.All kinds of incentives are available for this game and this players. It should be discussed if they had not won inspite of all these favourable conditions.

Just because you have an opportunity to write doesn't mean that you need to write crap like this to show that you have very low IQ. What incentives does the government give, it is because the board is rich that it can give the incentives. The other games are governed by selfish people who only want governments to spend money and dont want to share any of this money with the actual players.

will you get a distinction by writting an exam 10 tymes? similarly playing since many years doesnt means we win all serieses. its not 'only few countries play' its 'only few countries can play' cricket.

Gautam Gambhir batting preformance in ODi's since 08-mar-2008 to 08-mar-2009:
No. of matches:25, Runs scored:986, Highest:150, Average:42.86, 100's:2.
MS Dhoni batting preformance in ODi's since 08-mar-2008 to 08-mar-2009:
No. of matches:27, Runs scored:1191 Highest:109*, Average:66.16, 100's:1.
Gautam Gambhir's contribution in winning matches in last 1 year:
No. of matches:18, Runs scored:851 Highest:150, Average:53.18, 100's:2.
MS DHoni's contribution in winning matches:
No. of matches:20, Runs scored:919 Highest:109*, Average:76.58, 100's:1.
Though MS DHoni has scored 60 runs more and played 2 extraaa matches than Gautham Gambhir in winning matches but look at his average 76.58 and compare it to Gautam Gambhir's average of 53.18 even though Gautam Gambhir has scored 2 100's wheras MS Dhoni has scored only 1 100 that too against Hong Kong.
That shows that MS Dhoni has got such a high average coz of only remaning not out coz he remained not out on atleast 7 times out of 27 matches :-)

And don't forget , gambhir is an opener and has not in pressure most of the time and also get lodes of time to settle down while dhoni has to be adjust as soon as he entered as he have to rotate the strike in very frequently...

Gautam is an opener..Dhoni comes in at No.5 or No.6. So he remains not out most of the times. Thats the reason for higher average

M0r0n Sachin Tendulkar has won 57 MOM awrds out of which India has won 52 matches, So now calculate how many matches he has won for India and what is his winning percentage.
FYI out of his 43 ODi 100's India has won 38 times so again calculate the winning percentage :-)
there is no player yet to replace sachin. Why should he retire when he is still scoring runs with great consistancy. sachin is a team man.Guess who was more happy when ghambir scored his century? The player on the non strikers end ,SACHIN.If jayasurya can continue playing when he is approaching 40 why not sachin.

Well said Reshmi. This cnrgpal is gone mad. The team needs only runs and runs to win the matches. It not at all matters, the runs being scored by a 18 year old a 60 year old.
