I don't think it will change present scenario.Even before this rule power plays were used within first 20 overs.I think batting team will continue to use this trend anyway they can score fast in the last 10 overs so they will be thinking of using it within 20 overs thereby producing good start.
ICC (International Confused Council) is not sure abt the powerplays...
the 'power' play is taken by the fielding side !!! so that they get thwarted... hee hee hee.
the powerplay should be for batting side....
they try to steal concepts from american games but they dont understand the meaning.... in ice hockey a power play means that the side which gets the powerplay becomes more powerful by having an extra player (due to the fact that one player from the other team has to go out for sometime since he did a foul)..
here, if the fielding side takes the powerplay they become weak because they have to follow the fielding restrictions....i still dont get it how is it a powerplay for fielding side ????
some fool in the ICC did not get the real concept of powerplay..

How does it matter as long as its defined properly for the particular game? Whats in a name...:P ? Americans call their 'rugby-like' game 'football'... beat that!
i think 20-20 should replace 50-50 now because cirikit is a veri veri booring jame...all body not want balling and filding..all want batting...indi peetchs are veri veri bad condsan..so all india players does not lick to cach the balls..also the balls is very hard..all body wants soft balls..but cirikit has hard red balls..that hard red balls alwys heated hardly and give pen..bat also veri hevy..and padding helmet are thare...very complx play..20-20 good ciriket..good garls dance and six fours good...20-20 play intrnatanl 50-50 domestic cirikit..
Let's see. It's gonna be fun. This would change the batting order of a team as they would definitely try to keep good batsman towards the end of the innings. So it's no surprise that Viru coming at 7th down and Juvi to follow after that.
If batting team chooses to take 2nd Powerplay after 40th Over then 3rd should be taken after 45th.. Then for last 10 Overs, only 3 fielders wil b outside.. Watz this.... Or are there any restriction not mentioned here

Why would the fielding captain have both his powerplays left till the end of innings? granted one would be in the hands of batting team but there will be 30 overs for the fielding team to get one powerplay done. If an international captain is such a stupid then he does not deserve to be the captain.
instead, batsman to decide a no-ball everyball if he thinks he is not happy with the ball bowled and runs scored. a wicket taker to be suspended for 10 matches. no more howzzzaaatttttttt.
forget about power play just remove all fielders make only a bowler and one batsman funda...tht would be nice no injuries no run outs no need of 11.......hows it??
