IRANI TROPHY -a complete waste at this point
by abhinav kumar on Sep 23, 2008 02:06 PM  | Hide replies

Crickers! Dont waste time n energy in playing Irani trophy played on belter tracks,
insead put some strenous practice n preparation in tackling fiery Aussies.
starategy must be chalked out to tackle each n every bowler n batsman.
some serious thoughts are to be given in practising just like tendulkar had done in 2000 for tackling Shane Warne. no point in playing Irani trophy on batting paradise!

Management committee ! r u listening??
any body who disagree, reply.

Format for New Domestic Tournaments
by bharat on Sep 23, 2008 01:09 PM  | Hide replies

1. Ganguly Trophy -
- Any batsman who tries to take sharp singles will be automatically declared runout.
- Every batsman must play out at least 20 deliveries before scoring.

2. Sachin Trophy
- This tournament will be open only for players with some kind of injury.
- Teams will be selected and at the last moment, each and every player will drop out because of injury.
- Crowds will be charged only for watching the ground since no cricket will be played.

Akash Chopra has no chance. It may be Virat Kohli. Kaif is also very doubtful it may be Raina. Parthiv may not get in as it is a home test mach in case Dhoni needs a replacement they can call over parthiv. And where is Ishanth is he unfit??

Team is set
by Crick fan on Sep 23, 2008 12:40 PM  | Hide replies

There is limited scope for some of the players on re-trial. They will find it difficult to get a nod based on Irani cup performance.
Sehwag and Gambir are more or less fixed as openers ( Sri lanka Tour was good for them). For Jaffer or Parhiv to come ahead of Gambhir they will have to come with double Hundreds. Laxman, and Dravid will be difficult to drop for Tests even if they perform averagely. Sachin is not taking chances he will come in Test matches directly. Only one slot of ganguli needs filling. May be Kaif, or Badrinath are the best candidates. Rest of the team is almost same.
Dhoni, Kumble, Harbajan, Ishant, RP singh, Munaf, Sreesant. Wish India could try some one like Ojha or Mishra as spin options.

Sachin coming in directly has always caused problem. Its not easy however great a player u are to come in and play top class cricket w/o any match practice. It will take hime a couple of matches to get into the groove by then we will be down in the series. It is better to give him a couple of 1st class matches before he is drafted into the test team.

poor santa on exam abt father
by ghost on Sep 23, 2008 12:01 PM  | Hide replies

Santa for an exam had studied only one essay 'FRIEND', but in the exam the essay which came was 'FATHER' .

He replaced friend with father in the essay and it read: AM A VERY FATHERLY PERSON, I HAVE LOTS OF FATHERS,

SOME OF MY FATHERS ARE MALE AND SOME ARE FEMALE. MY TRUE FATHER IS MY NEIGHBOUR.
