Hahaha. Correct. Laxman played well in difficult pitches and difficult conditions but never tried to exploit dead pitches.
VVS is Very Very Special in terms of style, technique, and the courage he displays while batting, especially against Australia. But he plays Best,if He is batting One-Down.But unfortunately he rarely gets a chance to bat One-Down,which is often reserved for others.
Australia series will be an acid test for Laxman. If he plays well in all the four Tests, he will avoid the axe for some time to come. If he does not play well, still he will be in the playing 11 for all the 4 Tests because with the fourth Test, he completes 100th Tests of his career.... and will be dropped after the series.

Undoubtedly Laxman is best of four top batsmen. He always delivered when India was in trouble. If Indian selectors try to drop him, do they have alternative batsmen who can play in middle order like the elegant Hyderabadi?Yuvraj already disappointed with his performance in test matches.

well... alternatives do not drop from the sky. to give this *alternative* a chance, someone has to sit out, and the alternative will slowly pick up. look at laxman's average in his first 4 *years*... if he wasnt let to play because he wasnt *good* then, he would have never been discovered.
