some of Ganguly’s contributions to Team India. In my own view, he has achieved a lot for Indian cricket. He brought into the team
a sense of self-belief. a fighting spirit. a sense of unity (team above individual). a personnel policy that blended youth and experience. a policy of far-sightedness that meant that players were backed and carried for a whole series instead of the prevailing revolving door policy that meant that players had one match to prove their worth!

Ganguly betrayed not only dravid when dravid was captain, he betrayed dalmiay He used dalmaiy when the later was in power N changed loayalty to Mumbai camp after dalmiay lost power to Pawar,,,

i fact dravid dropped ganguly when he was captain id dravid once called him god of off side then he should know what is ganguly's class and he should have given him a chance but he humiliated him along with chappell

in PAK ganguly wanted to open but dravid did not allow why? this was told by pak media in pak whereas everyone here thought that ganguly wasnt ready to open
later AAJ TAK clarified that dada wanted to open but was not allowed

Could not have said it any better than this article. An ever lasting image in my mind is the one when Rahul was captaining in Pakistan with Coach Chappel and cameras shot the conversation between Dravid , Chappel and Dada. By the look of it, it would have been hard to believe that Chappel and Dravid were in command and not Dada. The point about Dhoni was also well made and please dont forget Yuvraj in that category. Probably the only ones of the players Dada supported, Harbhajan & Sehwag supported Dada during the Chappel era but after some BCCI arm twisting they remained quiet.

IT was dravid who mediated between ganguly and chappell in Zimb tour And in Pakistan series the picture was repeatedly telecasted in Ten Sports it was not dravid or chapell it was ganguly argueing,,,Ultimately dravid open innings and scored 100 but was again blamed he did opening becuz it was dead pitch nobody blamed ganguly who refused to open innings Even the declaration decision by dravid when Tendulkar scored 194 dravid made declaration after getting signal from the captain ganguly but every body blamed dravid... Dravid'sgrea fault he does not do badmouhing in press like the way ganguly tendulkar used ..

Mr. Bhat, Were you part of the conversation held between the 3 of them in Pakistan? No. Did Dravid or Chappell share the conversation with you? No. Please do not comment on matters of speculation. I know you have no constructive thoughts to share, at least stop spreading ill-will.
Yes, in India you have to choices. Unfortunately for him, fortunately for Indians, dada choose the second one without thinking twice. Rather it came automatically, without his conscious selections. I used to hate him too (I am, rather was a dravid fan, till he showed his true colors after being captain) in the odd time, when he struggled and India lost any match. But the truth is there won't be another Ganguly. We might have another Sachin, always politically correct and a genius, another Dravid, a great bats man. Perhaps both are better cricketer than dada, at least in tets (or at least in the record book)But who will want to spoil their career by fighting with the BCCI or management? From the days of betting to last SA tour! Kudos to you and we all will miss you!

Still dravid is most successful odi captain even though he did not get support from some his teammates chief selector veng and bcci,, Ganguly betrayed not dravid even dalmiay also.. Ganguly back door entry to team and he changed his loyalt to mumbai lobby from dalmiay's camp politician ganguly got his chance but now out of oid team and taking on Vengi Listen to Harsah Bhogle interview ganguly said Ihad no problem with dravid. but it was chappelll also I heard dravid press briefs he wanted to do something good for indian criket....

When You ARE CITING dRAVID'S SUPPORT DURING gANGULY'S CAPTAINCY, YOU FORGET THE fact that Ganguly during that time, never was scheming to get Dravid out of the team, in fact he fought for each one of the player at different times. Contrary to that, during Dravid's tenure of captaincy, it was so obvious that Dravid, along with Guru Greg and Kiran More was trying to get Ganguly out of the team at any cost. So how can one support a captain, when your captain himself is scheming with others to get you out.

Dravid was vice Cap for ganguly and he performed when team was in trouble against strong bowling attack, and many time foreing pitches to give ganguly success as captain evne when any game or series lost it was dravid who was doing press briefs. but when ganguly was doing press. Even in Nagpur test which won by dravid 's as captain but press confrence done by ganguly When dravid was captain for 2 yrs there were five vicecaptains for odis.. For ganguly dalmiay support was there but dravid as captain never got support of players, bcci or press But ganguly never supported dravid's as captain it was visible on field in SA, and Wc 07
