I can imagine why Srikks called it 'the right decision'. Ganguly has been a consistent non-performer since he was stripped of captaincy, not to speak of his fielding. But the selectors have been under constant pressure to retain him, due to political as well as Bengali parochial pressure. They can now breathe easy!!!

Ganguly was the highest performer after he was recalled in the SA series till the Sri Lanka series. All three seniors failed in the Sri Lanka series...

just check his record in Australia before making a comment on Saurav Ganguly. In Srilanka every one proved to be failures, so dont blame him alone. If it was not for him, then we would have never been able to make the team what we have today. He got us out of the match fixing turmoil and a string of very poor performances under Azhar's leadership!!

Leaving aside his charisma and captaincy record (not to speak of batting elegance), dada has not had a sterling record as a test batsman except that odd innings here and there. I believe he should have been displaced from the team at least two years back

Who was the Asian (not just Indian) player of the year 2007? That award is not given for one or two odi performances here n there. And that award is not for odis alone. Who was the highest run getter for India in tests in 2007? I am not talking beyond two years from now. Find the answers n then talk. For the time being stop the nonsense.
Wow..now kiran more says "He has done a fantastic job for the country. He probably wanted to go on a high and it was a good opportunity against Australia," whereas a few days back he chided the selection committee that we are not moving ahead but regressing!! what an ass munch more is!!! it all started when MORE WAS A MORON and now he moved to ICL to make money BUT talks about others!!!
to DADA, it is right time and go with your head held high!!! you have done enough - good or bad- but it is nice that you are going after this tour!!
Dada,We will miss your golden shots on the off side and your aggression which you started to win over the other countries. You made a tremendous job in the history of Indian Cricket which no one can do. If Dhoni is thinking of doing a great job then he will not be able to reach the heights on which you are standing. You are really superb and I think you will play an important role in winning stream of IPL's second year of Kolkata Knight Riders..Hats off to you!!! You will get everything in your life which you want.
Dada, We will surely going to miss u..no doubt about that..But more we will miss your Aggression which gave totally new dimensions to what we call An Indian CAPTAIN. Truly..Your stand & Deliver shots are just which we will always going to share with upcoming generation.. Best of Luck !! & Happy Diwali in advance for what ever you do in future... THANKS A LOT...DADA..
you took the right decision. you are going on your own terms and not on the terms of previous selection committee headed by jack ass dilip vengsarkar.
we all wish you best of luck in any future endeavours.
i personally think that you have a very bright future in politics too. join one of the mainstream parties and become bengals chief minister too. you know right now the politicians in bengal are a bunch of idiots
help bengal and kolkata knight riders win ranji and IPl championships.
Ganguly is the best bet for the Australian series. But why Ganguly, why not Tendulkar too? Tendulkar should concentrate much on the Onedayers instead.Anyway India is going to lose 3-0 against Australia.
