it is time that we realize sachin is getting faded away. barring the good show in the tests, his absence in the ODI will defnitely make his popularity rating low

Sachin has not played in ODI after Aus. How else would be on bottom and let's not too hyped up on these new players let them be consistent for 2years. Gambhir & Dhoni are consistent but don't know about Yuvi 7 Viru

If you check the previous year , sachin was the most valuable player. this season he just played one game, If you are going to base you decision based on one match , you guys are moron.

Sterling Performance!!!

Its unbelievable cricket. Had rain not spoilt the show, Shewag would have done some out of the world performance. Lets hold on to this high wave and enjoy the ride.

Harbhajan ignored by everybody
by shashwat on Nov 24, 2008 07:29 PM  | Hide replies

Harbhajan ignored by media, Dhoni and fellow players as if he dosent exist in the team.
Harbhajan is a senior player and the seniormost spinner of the team. Stll he is ignored just because he belongs to a particular community.
What a shame. We Indians hv such communal attitude towards this particular community, they are either ignored or insulted. Its pathetic.

You obviously don't know what you are talking about. Which community do you think Yuvraj is from? Yuvraj 'Singh' (hint!) Now please don't start telling Yuvraj was made second in the list and not first because he is from some community..!

Stop bringing communalism and regionalism into everything! It is this attitude of people like you that spoils the plot. Not the things that happen on the field.

If someone was ignored, it was because some others put up a better show! And when Dhoni mentions "Team" (i heard him say it many times during the presentation ceremony), he means everyone! - including people of all communities!!
Why don't you say he ignored Raina?!! Dhoni never mentioned him by name. Is that because he's from some community too? He didn't mention RP Singh, Kohli and even Ojha (poor guy was even expecting to play in the match)!! All because of communities? Wow! Dhoni must be hating all the communities then (including his!)..!

He didn't mention them, coz there was nothing worth mentioning! Harbhajan took a wicket (it was a very nice delivery too), but he got clubbed all over the ground. He was not at all his best and the six by Flintoff was amazing!!
My friend, that is why Dhoni didn't mention Bhajji.. And Raina.. And the others.. Not because of region or religion or any other thing that has no value in a cricket field!
Coz if you have ever played cricket, you will know that cricket is the only religion you have, once you set foot on the field!
Try getting that!!

Sehwag leads MVP race
by munimtarunsagar on Nov 24, 2008 07:27 PM

Virender Sehwag and Yuvraj Singh have so far been India's most valuable players this season.....Unconditional match can no longer lead to unconditional victory. It can no longer serve to settle disputes... can no longer be of concern to great powers alone match winner tested Honestly 2011 world cup is real test. Victory has a thousand Coach, but defeat is an orphan chat.

Team game
by Ravinder Dobhal on Nov 24, 2008 06:22 PM  | Hide replies

Yes, this is true that Viru & Yuvi lead the chart of MVP but i feel this is also because of a their theam, right now the entire team is performing well, If you have seen yesterdays match bowlers have done a wonder ful job, feilding was good and over all and on top of everything Dhoni is the key of all this success, I strongly feel it is because of his captaincy ablities that the team is performing as a group unlike earlier it was for peoples own records and achievements. Dhoni we wish you all the best and success on the feild and off the feild as well.

Now your eggs are boiled :)

NOTE : Dont stay in BHAGONA for more than 10 minutes otherwise it could lead it minor burn injuries.

REGIONALISM
by PAKODI RAM on Nov 24, 2008 06:06 PM  | Hide replies

THE RECENT MEDIA REPORTS THAT DHONI INSIST FOR RP SINGH IS NOTHING NEW IN INDIAN CRICKET. REGIONALISM DID PLAY IN THE PAST TOO. WHEN GAVASKAR WAS CAPTAIN VENGSERKARS AND SHASTRIS WERE GIVEN MORE THAN THE CHANCES THEY DESERVED TO BE IN THE TEAM.

SIMILARLY WHEN GANGULY WAS CAPTAIN HE DID FORCIBLY BRING IN BELOW RANJI LEVEL PLAYERS LIKE SS DAS, DEEP DAS GUPTA, ROHAN GAVSKAR ETC .

IT IS DHONI'S TURN NOW. HE WANT ALL UP AND BIHAR.

WHEN SHARD PAWAR, LALU YADAV ETC CONTROLS BCCI FORGET "COUNTRY FIRST" IDEOLOGY AND SPIRIT OF THE GAME.

you people just spread false rumors and that's it, Dhoni openly advocated to include S. Badrinath, sreesanth who are from tamilnadu and kerala resp. so it has nothing to do with regionalism. RP singh bowled beautifully during australia series and then was out due to injury, so he deserves a place. Now, we don't even kno what transipred behind closed doors.
Main thing is that India is winning under him and I hope it continues.
There was a time when there were 5 karnataka players in the team, then it was not regionalism and now since team is dominated by north indians then it becomes regionalism.
STOP THIS NORTH-SOUTH DIVIDE AND LETS BE INDIANS FIRST

VANAR VEDA
Re: REGIONALISM
by VANAR VEDA on Nov 24, 2008 06:20 PM
I agree with you Pakodi. Actually Greg chappel was the Right man for India. When a Student fails the Teacher reports to the Parent and the Parent arrange for the Tutions and the student overcome failure and perform.

Greg chappel did the same role of Teacher to ganguly. But we must all accept even after 300 matches Ganguly never learned to run between wickets over an above he was a pathetic fielder. But the indisciplined players in Indian Team and the jokers in BCCI made Greg Chappel the scapegoat.

Let us be transparent. Why do you blame Irfan Pathan or robin uthappa. Irfan was a bowler and as Imran Khan warned two years ago same thing happened to Irfan pathan. By sending him at No: 3 you neither made him a batsman nor a bowler. you screwed his career.

samething with Robin. you used him as stepni.

I am not supporting or agisnt anyone. This is just to refer an example. Let there be transperancy in Cricket and let some performers in the game and also some positive cricketers like Kapildev, GR vishwanth etc be made selectors.

R Kannan
Re: REGIONALISM
by R Kannan on Nov 24, 2008 06:43 PM
Why is this hungama ? The captain feels RP should be given more chances while the selectors feel Irfan is better. There are limited number of players who can be selected and a difference of opinion is not an issue. The only problem is if somebody completely incompetent (Eg R. Kannan or Pakodi Ram) is chosen. In any case, the last few matches would see both Irfan & RP bowling.
