Select only on IPL performance
by Gippi Dada on May 31, 2008 11:53 PM

I would say, play more IPL and play it seriously. For ODI, the selection should be on IPL performance and should be transparent.
Let all the senior players also work out and compete with fresh blood.

BTW, all those teams owned by celebrities have bitten the dust. We hardly know about the owners of RR and CSK. Unlike Bollywood, hype doesnt work in sport. Sportsmen are glorious, actors are mostly fake.

Sportsmen are no different from any other people.
They are there to earn money and nothing else.
Stop putting them on a pedestal. In movies, there are so many great artists and writers. What would an idiot like you know about it anyway ?

Not the correct argument.Actually, those teams have done well which had players more hungry for success, which could gel together better, which had fitter & younger players and which were lead by better leaders.

ur wrong about actors they too have talent to fake. and that is their buisness. The one Who fakes or acts as naturally and innovatively that he touches the chord in peoples heart that they comand the price. Give the devil his due man. Dont run down anyone just because u cant appreciate some thing. Remember that they too are spawning large economic activity and providing employment to millions of people. Films like sports are now turning to economic money spinners spawning a huge industry. just like factories , agriculture , defence , administration and many other activities.

Add to that DD too.

3of the semi finalist owners are very low key. Looks like the 4th is on the way out of semis.

BTW, calling actors fakes on the basis of IPL success is, too much. They are good in their chosen proffession.
