Why any action against Harbhajan?
by abhishek jain on May 13, 2008 01:59 PM  | Hide replies

Why should we ban a good player like Harbhajan? he has won so many matches for India. We should give him one more chance. I am sure he will take a lesson from this episode and not repeat it again. The board needs to maintain same sympathy with him that it did for the australia episode.

the way harbhajan was charging towards modi the other day, it appeared he would have scored twice the same day. But suddenly he stopped and shook hands and hugged modi. Maybe a change of mind at the last moment.

Dear Ms. Aishwarya Patil,

The people who are leaving in Glass House should not throw stone on others. People who himself/herself have done something wrong should not ask for others head. Got it or not......... You have also done wrong in your day to day life the you also be penalised for that

so you mean to tell him that they are framing him of slapping shreesanth ?
and also do you go about making a monkey of yourself when you are in front of international audience, if so, please change your nationality before you do that.
when it is a matter of national image, there is not closed or open door.

Both are responsible
by Navin Shahane on May 13, 2008 01:45 PM  | Hide replies

I think both Harbhajan and Sreesanth should be banned from the cricket for long time if not for lifetime. The players need to have a restraint on themselves both on the field and off the field. If Harbhajan has done something wrong it must have been for some reason, and given the fact that Sreesanth is childish in whatever he does, one can understand why. It's a sorry sight for any team to have come into limelight this way, why don't our player show the on field agressiveness to arrogant Australians? Both Indian media and fans would love to see it!

Just the fact that Sreesanth is childish does not make it mandatory to punish him or explain the necessity for Harbhajan to slap him. What Harbhajan did was wrong and he has to be severely punished for that. Sreesanth is aggressive, but does not go around hitting and kicking people, does he? Harbhajan should be banned for life - a 50% match fee fine for Sreesanth should be enough. He may have provoked Harbhajan - but, keeping the game and national interest in mind, Harbhajan should have complained - need not have slapped.

if shreesanth does not learn from this, then he deserves a slap after every match.

singh is King ?????
by Ashok Gupta on May 13, 2008 01:44 PM  | Hide replies

It is the BCCI and the media to blame for this fiasco, they pumped up Mr Singh to such an extent even excusing him after his misbehaviour in Australia by making it a national issue that Mr Singh started to believe he is King. Had he been rapped on his knuckles at that time and told to watch out he would not have been so bold as to slap a co-player. He is complacent and overstepped decency.

yeah the whole country that day was hell bent on defending someone who called someone's mother on the field, like it was a national disaster or something similar. He was applauded and worshipped for using those words.
How he repaid it now, wow.

Harbhajan deserves nothing short of a life ban
by antony paul on May 13, 2008 01:43 PM

There is no justification for doing such dada giri. He must be banned from all sort of cricket. Slapping a Indian team mate infront of whole specteters. This is rediculas. If he behaving on the field like this oh, God how he will be in the dressing room. Poor junior players. BCCI would not show any mercy to hom ..Ban him.
