Dravid not only completed the 10k runs in both froms of game batting in diff positions but in test his average is better than any other batsman. he involved in 72 partnership batting record in history of game. For india he is batsman who contributed highest than any other batsman for team victorty in test cricket, highest catch holder in both forms of game. his average aborad is better than lara and thendulkar IN NDTV suvey more than 87% ppl voted for dravid as a better player than lara and tendulkar. Due to the partisan attitude of the parties ruling the centre and unequal developement the situation is what we see today. A uniform syllabus for children all over India and same law for all religions or no one will be allowed to to anything on the public place will creat more security. On an average all human beings and particularly Indians think alike and all differances will vanish thru equal distribution of all sources but giving due credit to eligible ones.This is what is India is expected to have.
In many aspects Rahul Dravid is the most stylish and accomplished player in the recent period. Both Lara and Tendulkar are vulnerable to pacers and have got themselves out when the team was in dire need of them. It is the great Dravid who has faced all sorts of bowling all over the world with the same grit and determination not found in any one of his contemporaries . This is not to undermine anyone but Dravid is no doubt above others. The only Indian to have scored centuries against outside countries in their soil. The only Indian to have have bagged two ICC awards in the same year. The only Indian who was selected for world XI against Aussies in 2006 to play at Indoor MCG

It is easy to criticise Dravid but he has one of the most thankless jobs in world cricket...that of shepherding the "strongest batting line up in the world". It is not as if Dravid cannot attack...he has proved it umpteen times...in England in 2007 in the one-day series, the blitzkrieg against Donald in SA that had Donald completely rattled. Dravid always has been the person given the job of holding up one end...look at the line up..Sehwag is a gamble.....Jaffer may click or not...especially abroad....Sachin, Sourav, VVS while being all time greats cannot hold one end down as solidly as Dravid as they are natural strokemakers....though Sachin has shown many times in the recent past that he could do a Dravid....Dhoni and the tail cannot play an anchor innings. That leaves you with only Dravid to hold one end down and echewing his own shotmaking play the anchor. Before we toss Dravid into the frying pan each time he plays a sheet anchor innings, look at what would have happened without him. In Chennai, sehwag was living ball to ball. AFter he left, the remaining 8 wickets put up approx. 200 runs between them. Now if Dravid too would have gone hell for leather, the Indians would be all out for 450-500 and the blame would be again on either one of the two favourite whipping boys, Laxman and Dravid. The problem is 20-20 glitz and galmour has blinded us to the value of one of test crickets all time greats. The real value of Dravid will be revealed when he retires.
Dravid, the Wall made of Mud, not Rock. Balls stick to the mud, lead unlimted dots and worst strike rate among all test players in the world (who scored 4000 runs or more). That is what Indian so called Wall is. If Wall was made of Rock the balls whould have crossed the rope. Geo. Boycott had been scaked from the team becuase of slow double century. Do Indian selectors have guts to sack Dravid for his all negetive and selfish attitute for the team ?

can dravid score 400? of course he may, provided if he face 1500 balls. you people can again proud on dravid that this many balls facing itself require technique. but you people should know test match only five days. so dont compare genius indian maestro and west indian maestro with disability dravid.

even dhoni can play without getting out by just blocking the balls or leaving it.. sachin and lara likes to plays and they dont try to defend like dravid...

Dhoni is a waste. He cannot bat for nuts. His batting is toatlly devoid of any style/grace, clumsy and slooggish ( and rarely effective these days). He should be out of the team first let alone he "Firing the seniors". He s just a slogger and has no rights to talk abt the classiest batsmen India has produced.
It is thanks to the great platform set up by Kumble that these guys won the ODI. Otherwise we would have been mauled like what happened in India just a few months ago.....
