know I will be criticised for my statement but Sahwags knock only re-confirms how destructive he can be if the pitch is flat and ball comes in a predictable manner. I am afraid his inning will not be seen in this light and he will be made a permanent member of the team for next few years and whenever the pitch will be even little bit tricky, as it often is for the opening batsman, he will let the team down, resulting in defeats as before. Dravid has paid a heavy price for prolonged reliance on Sahwag on account of his such mis-leading records. I may clarify that I am not talking of Sahwag of the yore but Sahwag as he has recently been. I will be only too happy if Sahwag proves me to wrong on course of time.

you have forgotten that he is the only person who played big knock in the recent test against australia which we have won. He scrored in both the inningses. In Adelaide against he scored a century to save the match for India where as others failed. I think your memoray is short. Please brush up the cricket records and get yourself corrected

I hv not forgotten what u hv mentioned. However, the way Rahul Dravid was let down by Sahwag for a long time which ultimately led to Dravids exit also is difficult to erase from memory.

If a player is out of form you need to drop him and that should apply to everybody. that does not mean that he can never make his entry into the team again. I think Sehwag has it in him to be in the Indian team for any pitch and any bowling attack with his current form. SO Dravid's decision may have been wrong only then

RE:retirement
by sanju babbar on Mar 29, 2008 07:48 PM
it was veeru who took wickets and scored 150 great innings in the last test and man of the match was given to sachin whose inning was not that gud in comparision of veeru so it shows the level of partisality in cricket

Most people are saying why sehwag was not played in rest of ODIs in Australia. Sehwag's performance in the ODI in australia was very bad. Don't go for one innings. Sehwag is not consistent performer. He needs to be consistent.
RE:retirement
by sanju babbar on Mar 29, 2008 07:55 PM
so u want me to say yuvraj and uthappa are consistent batsman go and check out their record of last 15 matches u will come to know they need to be out of the team if sehwag will be given half chances which were given to them he will score centuries

ok i agree we won the match but still sehwag is better player than uthappa and he will prove his place soon let the time come he will captain india in all form of cricket and dhoni yuvraj group will watch out
RE:culprit dhoni and vensarkar

when sewag scored centuryies in newzealand they were the fastest pitches and in that series noone scored centuries from both side . sehwag scored century in south africa in the fast pitch where none played so well he scored 198 in malbourne when india won against australia he is the best performer of the world he ahas scored 180 in westindies how many proofs are their so u r a big liar

I appreciate your brain power. We have to just forget Olympics for ever. You see Australia,RSA, England,Kenya,Korea, etc are most medal spinning countries. Unfortunately we are banking only on CRAZY CRICKET. May God only help us. R.I.P

Possibly after this series u will see him captaining the test side. Kumble lost the series down under and he may not do much better this time either.
its unfortunate people say so bad about everything, just go through the score card, assume sehwag is 0 and so is dravid, what about our other world class batsmen, ST, SG, MSD,VVSL. praise them ya, just dont label sehwag as fluke, just assume if he is in SA team how our bowlers and the cricket lovers will feel.
