The Problem with the Indian cricket is that we put our cricketers, in Moon's place, when we win the matches. And when we lose, we make them hide in drainage !!!! We would burn thier houses, effigies etc.
Many guys are calling for the young blood and thunderwork. Yes agreed, but what about consistency ??? Nobody is talking about it. Yuvraj , Dhoni, Gamhir have performed after giving so many changes. Had these kind of chances given to old brigade as well, even they would have done the same!!!!
And the world has seen how Dhoni had to dance in the Test Cricket cas he do not have that TEST material and tough mentality.
And let me tell you this current lot is the one, who get the sucess very easily in their head and start making rubbish claims. And that the reason these wont be around for more that 2-3 years. Leave alone like Sachin Tendulkar for 17 - 18 years.
Even Ponting was young some time, and was making rubbish claims. Now he has bite dust. Same will happen with Dhoni as well.

asoultelycrrect. not always matches are won by thunderworks!!! Someone said that running fast and great fielding are thunder works and these guys win matches Running fast doesnot mean balling accurately and consistently, even pravin took wickets, but he is not not running fast! Piyush is a good fielder, but he is in team for his balling and till date he has not proved his skills. Talking about rohit, he has shown sustainibility, but he is inconsistent, he needs some more matches to prove his ability. now we have youngsters like uttapa, yuvraj,pathan and Dhoni. how consistently is their performance? Yuvraj and uttapa are in team as batsmen, but every single time they have failed! what about dhoni? he cannot find a single gap when he is batting and the fact is that the number at which he bats requires brisk scoring(in form of singles and douubles). what was his contribution in test! Now talking about seniors dravid and VVS are the best slip fielders in india's cricketing history. sachin seldomly gives chance to speak about his mis-fielding. regarding batting of these guys, their record speak for them. look in the current OZ test and CW series and neglect seniors contribution from it, we would have ended losing whatever we managed to win.
its a gud quote....kumble deserves a better look than sachin or dhoni ...both r overhyped for nothing...but taking 600 wickets around is not a small thing...he has proved almost 70% of his wickets mad eindia won...look at sachin 42 tst centuries ...70% he made for his avg ...20% for winning and 10% for name sake....
If still cricket is a gentleman game its becos of these players like Kumble..

Compare to Ganguly & Dravid, Mr.Kumble is not a best captain, when Ganguly and Dravid is taking charge, india is in trouble and 6 or 7'th Rank. But Kumble taking charge in 3'rd Place Team only. When Dravid was captain india won series in England, West Indies, and won match in South africa. When Ganguly was captain india won series in Pakistan, won match in Australia, that time ausiess have mcgrath,gillespe,warne,macgill. But Current ausseis bowling is so week. So easily they surrendered.
In captancy ganguly is first, sachin is last. dravid,dhoni,kumble are inbetwen them.
