who says india is one? ask the sardars..they want khalistan, ask the southies, they want tamil land..ask the ne..they want nagaland..how can u say india is one when it is ruled by an italian pasta maker.
Give Importance to Match winner's and not to Captain's.
Simple Example:Don Bradman, Viv Richards and Sachin Tendulkar, They are the Biggest match winner's, They were the only Match winner's when thet were Captain, Anyway nobody cares about a Captain who is non-performing.Kapil Dev is considered Gr8 captain Bcoz he was a Match winner who played an innings of 175 in 1983 when India was 14/5.Kapil Dev was a Gr8 Bowler as well taking 434 wickets in test Matches.
In the Present Indian Team we have Match winners like Viru Sehwag, Yuvraj SIngh, Suresh raina, Gautham Gambhir, Ishanth Sharma, Praveen Kumar, RP SIngh and Piyush Chawla.Give importance to them and to some Captain who is non-performing..............

I think captain and player both are equally responsible and Dhoni has done great job to groom players like Praveen Kumar, Raina, Peeyush Chawla, Rohit Sharma. Ofcourse player like Sehwag Yuvraj, Gambhir are also match winner. Overall we are playing as a Team and victory is achieved with team efforts not with individual one.

Its Dhonis luck that he has got such players who want to make their place in team & thats why he is winning. It was Sachin's Badluck that he had players like Jadeja, Azhar & mongia who had fixed their place in team & were fixing the matches.

during that time only the so called greats sourav and dravid too were in the team.
OF WINNING AFTER 1983, WERE SHATTERED BY QUARTET OF SENIOR PLAYERS INCLUDING SACHIN. THESE COMBINED BEST BATTING LINE-UP COULD NOT WIN A SINGLE WORLD CUP. REASON? IN MID-CAREER THEY STARTED PLAYING MORE FOR INDIVIDUAL GAINS AND LESS FOR THE TEAM.
YES , THEIR RECORDS AND AVERAGES ARE VERY GOOD, BUT OF WHAT USE ?

the dreams will come true when sachin will leave the cricket.but astrologers r saying that it will come after 2060.
India won the 83 World Cup under young captain of 23 years of age. The team consisted of many unheralded players. These players did not play for individual record but for the team’s requirement.
India could not win World Cup despite four stalwarts in Sachin, Ganguly, Dravid and Laxman.
These senior player started playing more for individual record and less for team’s requirement.

Whether senior or not, if they are fit & form then should be allowed to play. And there is a falling & decline there for anybody after a while in this game. May be due to their physical or mental fitness. And the same happened here, they are seniors; played enough; achieved milestones (and age also); may be their time has come to say bye to the International game.
When Suresh raina begins his international debt two years back, he got a lot of runs in the flat batting wickets. But in abroad fast bowling wicket he utterly failed. This is same for Dhoni’s case.He was a failure in South Africa, England, Australia and he is scoring lot of runs in Asian wickets. Nobody is caring this. Darvid, sachin and Luxman they scored runs in all wickets. Don’t judge a player by the performance in these kinds of wickets. He has to perform in fast bowling wicket too.

Frankly Speaking Sachin Tendulkar, Rahul Dravid and to some Extent Saurav Ganguly are proven Match winner's.
Currently in Indian Team Viru Sehwag, Yuvraj Singh, Suresh Raina, Gautham Gambhir, Ishanth Sharma, Praveen Kumar and Piyush Chawla are Match winner's, MS Dhoni was never a match winner, He never will be, So dont compare a Captain who is not a Match winner with Gr8 match Winner's...................
SACHIN : 1. WHEN HE WAS CAPTAIN , INDIAN TEAM FAILED BADLY 2.WHEN DRAVID (BHAGODA) LEFT CAPTAINCY AFTER ENGLISH TOUR, SACHIN REFUSED TO TAKE UP CAPTAINCY. WHEN INDIAN TEAM NEEDED HIM, HE RAN AWAY, TO PROLONG HIS CAREER. 3. SEE HIS BEHAVIOUR DURING MATCH WITH RR. FULLY ANGRY AND IRRITABLE WITH HIS TEAM

why you are comparing both. Whether Dhoni will be able to bat like Sachin in 90's? It is their skill to the game. It's better not to accept the captaincy than doing rubbish.
pak again performed poorly,this time with the ball and couldn't defend 300 run score and getting hammered seriously.shows sign of how unpredictable pak team has become over the few years which wasn't seen often when akram,waqar,saqlain were together playing. india undoubtedly seems best batting team in the competition,lanka were close but were lucky to get out of the hole like pak against the minnows. india's bowling will hold the key in tournament which needs improvement in middle overs.
