Dravid. Well looks like he will continue to play till they name a road or a building or some airport in Bengaluru after him.
Kumble already has a road named after him just for picking 500 Test wickets. Our great ALL ROUNDER KAPIL DEV (bowling and also batting consistently so well and also being the only captain till date to win World Cup for India)that too in those old days where less money was paid and no crores of money through Ads and no great motivation and all who took 434 wickets to break Hadlee's World record that time was not given any great honour by naming a ROAD or building in Haryana or India after him.
Kumble has Anil Kumble Circle on MG Road named after him. Come on please name a road after Rahul Dravid one of Indias greatest Test cricketers so that Rahul can also relax and focus on his batting or atleast retire in peace and let youngsters come into team.
He is now the WALL who is not allowing anyone to enter into team and he is also not scoring anything but single digits and getting out so easily in recent Test matches.
Come on please do justice to BATSMAN also in BENGALURU. Atleast name a BIG Wall of a mueseum after the Wall Dravid. He wont retire till you do that.

These senior players have made a caucus, not allowing anyone to enter in the team. They are very cunning as they do NOT participate in Domestic Competitions, thereby AVOID COMPARISON WITH UPCOMING PLAYERS. BUT UNFORTUNATELY (for them) AND FORTUNATELY (for Indian Cricket) THEY HAVE BEEN FULLY EXPOSED IN IPL WHEN PITTED AGAINST NEW PLAYERS.
better if no body can comment on this pathetic team,,, nothing has left is it going to 3-0..... SL with only 2 recognised batsman (saggakkara and jayawardane) will score 600 runs with 4 100s our so called stars (tendulkar, dravid, ganguly, laxman,, shewag) are together struggling to score 100... new comer mendis (forget star murali) will get wickets our experienced kumble, khan, bajji strugling to take wickets,,, what we can talk abt this kind of pathetic performance.... i think wat ever is happening i good for indian future,,,, cricket will shortly in india....

Very true. He only keeps grinning behind and dropping catches. Parthiv was so good and confident in IPL matches also and he also is maturing as a thinking cricketers although he maybe baby faced. He has good will power to face tough bowling and even bouncers although he maybe short statured. He never gets weighed down by situations or atleast thats what his recent form seems to suggest. Parthiv must play. So must Pragyan (Ojha).
He gives 100 runs for every wicket he takes. Ridiculous. And we all know Kumble is a medium pacer who manages to take wickets only on a 100% spinning wicket not even a 99% spinning wicket. When Mendis & Murali were wrecking India on a spinning track like our Kumble couldnt take a single wicket in entire innings. So much overhype on him. Are Bhajji and Kumble the only 2 in a population of 1 billion we have ? How long they will play ? Srilanka being a small island with few lakhs population can find some great spinner like Mendis. Why we cant ? Come on. Time to give chances to Pragyan Ojha, Amit Mishra.
India should lose so horribly in matches. We are now World No.2 in Tests.So its pathetic to lose to lower ranked Test team like this. We keep on getting injured players with treatment again. Why we cant get new fresh promising fast bowlers in MRF Pace Academy & so many states of India to play for India ? Why we have to alwasys depend on few names.
Even in Olympics China now has 659 athletes & being 2nd populated India has only 57. Why

Excuse me, Anil is one who has won so many matches for india both one day and test, dont blame him for the defeat, what did your beloved sachin or saurav did. I agree harbhajan is over rated. Dont get panicked, still 2 tests to go, and for sure, murali has false action where every kid tends to spin the ball, i am 100% sure he has the benefit of the doubt and he chokes. To me shane warne is the no.1 spinner in the world.
Kumble can be captain but not a blower. where is the turn of kumble. It has been very long period. No turn at all. He blows like a medium pacer. If there is any crack on the pitch and if he the ball pitches on these crack then the ball can turn, but kumble cannot turn the ball

Totally agree with you man. He can retire now. Anyway he cant break Murali's world record of Test wickets. Murali the way he is spinning a web around players is almost moving towards 800 wickets while Anil is still struggling to even pick up 4 wickets (2 per innings) of each test.
Youngsters like Pragyan Ojha (who is now in Test team but sitting in pavilion) and Amit Mishra (not been given a single chance despite great performances in domestic and IPL) have arrived.
Kumble has been a great player and contributor to Indian cricket on the field and its time he starts contributing of the field also. He must retire and venture into coaching and commentary and sports writing and shares his immense knowledge with younger players for blossoming the future of Indian spinners esp in Test cricket
I think dravid will be left out test squad also, if his batting continues like this. Take the record of dravid batting in the past 5 test matches will tell the status of his performance. He has played lot of balls then the runs scored. He has spend time in the middle but did not captialize it.
Very tough mismatch for us. Man we dont bat , bowl or feild like them. Time for some changes in the team. Strat with WK Kartik. May be play Ojha for Zaheer as there will be nothing for pacers in pitch. Can Kumble take first series wicket in the next match?? Will Harbajan keep picking wickets @ 100/wicket?? How about our batting! Only Ishant Sharma looked assured with bat no one else. Please change batting order.

I thank heavens for not making you a selector. You want to remove zaheer and start the bowling with Ojha? So that he will get smashed around the ground from ball one, lose his confidence, composure, and then finally quit cricket itself?
because of these seniors we have become a formidabble test side today and after the coming of sachin, sourav rahul and laxman we started winning outside subcontinent
all these dhoni supportors give me one answer if dhoni is so great the why he opted out of the test series?
coz of seniors we won test matches in AUS, SA, AND WON TEST SEIES IN ENGLAND, WI and pakistan
ganguly as captain almost defeated steve waugh in AUS IN 2003
how can u all forget the achievements in the past 15 years
yes seniors failed i n thismatch but the juniors also were 7 down in 18 overs in asia cup final.
and please dont caompare IPL matches to test matches. IPL was gully cricket
the fab four r still the best. raina, rohit,yuvraj cannot be compared to them how can u all forget th innings of ganguly of 87 vs SA on a bad pitch at kaanpur wgere yuvraj and dhoni failed miserably before paul harris and ,any want to repalce the fab four with yomgsters .so foolish of u all we won the CB series in AUS coz of tendulkar mistakes do happen and i am sure thet seniors will come back in next test

My dear friend, i fully appreciate ur sentiments and second ur opinion that the quartret were grt players and won us matches. But that is past and if we were to take the past performances only into consideration, then we need to bring back such grt players as kapil, sunny, mohinder amarnath into the team!
As u said correctly, the pitch at Kanpur was a bad, but here in Srilanka the pitch was a good one, so why did our seniors not play well? The fact is there can be no comparison between paul harris and Murlidharan and co, my dear friend. We need to accept that this win by srilanka is no fluke. After a long time, we have two top quality spinners operating in tandem who are going to test our players ability to us their feet against them. But our superstars have been found wanting as they hardly use their feet. So it is not just a case of a `bad day in office' by our seniors, but they need show better attitude and seriously think about their game.
By the way how did dhoni come into the picture? Again if sachin and company are so grt, they could not even perform against a newcomer!

Its sad to see that people in India can be so fickle.For almost two decades a person has given his all to Indian cricket,the same people have raised him to a demi-god status.We forget he is human,he scores less then the same devoted fans who swear by his name rn for his throat like hungry dogs.Its just the modern age which is very demanding.God bless you not in those players shoes.Its best to comment outside. They are the ducks that lay golden eggs .Dont demand too much.Things will happen and they will happen in future,just give your "stars "some time to shine.They sparkle at night for us not for 24 hours .

Boss that is the problem with you guys...nobody denies the fact our superstars were grt players, but we cannot live on past glories and need to accept that they are past their prime. Just imagine a new kid on the block had bambozzled the superstars not once but twice and that too on a good wicket. Now u can't blame the umpires for everything thanks to the referral system.... Again, when will we introduce promising youngsters? When all the 4 retire together? Just imagine the scene when we have to find their replacements all of a sudden. That is my point my friend.
Why would Indian cricketers sweat 5 days for a fraction of the money when they can earn 10-15 time the money by just playing 40 days of IPL? It was there for all to see, there was no commitment from the Indian players either in the bowling, fielding or batting. This is not the first time they failed to bat 2 sessions. The players dont care.

It is not the first time they are playing Murali. In his whole career, this is only the 6th time Murali took 5 wickets in an innings against India (out of 65 total in his career). This means that Indians can play Murali if they have the determination but they lacked it totally. It appeared that Indian team lost the series even before it began.They were totally unprepared for the test series. BCCI does not care about test cricket anyways, they now have a new golden goose called IPL to fill in their coffers. The only teams who tamed Sri Lanka and Murali in their den are Australians and to a certain degree South Africa (apart from Lara).
