After see indians batting performance we should rely only on Sachin who hit a brilliant knock inspite out of practice long time.
Some of you are commenting without cricketing logic. Its not cause our batting line up is horrible or anything but its cause of the weather and pitch condition. When the Sri Lankans batted on the first morning they had the better batting conditions. Still it wasn't purely a batting paradise by any means. The wicket was slow and low. Today when the Indians went out the sky was cloudy and there was side ways movement off the track PLUS it was a truncated day. Batsmen don't like walking away frequently and then resuming from scratch. There is something called R.H.Y.T.H.M in a batsman's game and today that was taken away from them. So they failed. I don't see any favorable weather for this whole meaningless series. The Sri Lankan weather sucks and at this time of the year Sri Lanka always experiences monsoons. People who devise the itineraries need to use their brains a little more. Why have a tour when the monsoons are around ???
Dravid,Ganguly,Laxman should play good otherwise they will have to fight for their place in the test side.They have already lost their place in the ODI.
Tendulkar and likes who are infinitely better and on top of that have much more humility and are more patriotic. Dhoni was not tired playing in IPL when that would earn him more money. Its all about money for him and his cronies.

I think you own regularly used machines that NEVER go to a garage for maintenance; the PERFECT machines! That is why the word REST does not sound OK to you.

both the IPL and BCCI teams are private. Its BCCI team not India team. Dhoni should be appreciated for the fact that he chose to rest instead of playing greedily

yes. but he has been making money by doing ads n utilising his rest period. he calculated that test series is not lucrative for him. but doing ads during this rest period wud gv much more money to him so he skipped the test series, n he vl again come to capt odi team.

dont talk all stupid...
who will not look for money..when there is a chance of earning good money. that too... it is not just 10000 or 1 lakh....it is nearly crores ofd money in IPL...
just think honestly.... will u ever leave money when there is pretty good chance of earning it...
dont blame just mindlessly...
ya... i agree they r playing for country and representing it.... so is... they are not neglecting the national team... they hv commitment(mot of cricketers hv that commitment)...
may be just dhoni has taken a rest for 1 test series thats it..... there are parthiv and dinesh to do that job anyway.... and one more thing is he is not afraid abt his place.... so he is even giving chance for parthiv and dinesh to prove them again...
so called greats...sachin,dravid,ganguly also has taken rewt many times.... but in the name of injury...
dhoni is brave enough to declare directly ythat he want rest...

Beijing Olympics ?
The best one can do as an Indian citizen is to choose one of the leading Olympic contenders among nations and root for it at the games. That way, one may derive some satisfaction in seeing some success coming to the team one supports. It would be better if one's own country's fortunes at the games were not followed at all.
what is the point in selecting dada dravid and laxman.All 3 together scored 19 runs.dont compare them to sachin-69 runs.dravid has serious mental state of mind which does not allow him to bat freely.dada-less said about him is better.laxman was never a class player. in this old age they have nothing to prove.let them spend rest of thier lives in meditation and soul searching.

I think you don't understand test cricket at all,thats why you are making such a stupid statement,brush up your knowelege about TEST CRICKET,then comment upon the seniors.

Thats fine. Its a league match. Those who did not play well will play good in tests. Those who played well were exposed more and will be vulnerable to bowlers.
