Start a Drugs WC Tournament
by bharat on Jul 15, 2008 10:29 AM  | Hide replies

ICC should start a WC tournament in which players be allowed to use any type of drugs to enhance their game. Pakistan is sure to win such a tournament.

Bechaara bholaa Asif....
by bharat on Jul 15, 2008 10:27 AM  | Hide replies

Every player caught taking drugs claims vehemently to be innocent as a flower....

Obviously, given his history, even the Paki cricket board has not shown even a bit of support for him.

so pcb pleads innocence of their players even if they do all kind of illegal activities. so many times, asif caught for drug abuse, but they want him to play. so many indiscipline by shoaib akhtar, but pcb want him to play.

pakistani players are involved in drug abuse weill before the time of Imran khan. You can see the side effects on the face of Wasim Akram & he also caught in Dubai but no action was taken against him.

Every criminal always says that he is innocent.
by Vijay urf Teesmar Singh on Jul 15, 2008 10:03 AM

Every criminal always says that he is innocent. Asif was also innocent when he was caught with Charas at Dubai and had to spent 19 days in Airport jail.

Don't Jump to Conclusions
by Jehan Mir on Jul 15, 2008 09:48 AM  | Hide replies

Asif is entitled to a fair investigation and a proper defense to any allegations. One should not jump to any onclusions prematurely.

A positive test is only a test which can be wrong, the samples can be contaminated, reports may be mixed up,the controls used in the test can also be improper. This happens not too infrequently in the medical field.

The test should be repeated by PCB at least thrice. If it is determined conclusively that he has way too high drug levels in his blood, which cannot be explained in any other way ,then PCB sould focus on drug rehabilitation and counseling rather than going into a self righteous, vindictive mode.

Drug affliction calls for a treatment and not extermination.
