This team will lose Test and ODI series comprehensively in Sri Lanka. As long as Sachin and Saurov are in the team, the results are forgone conclusion as both play for place and records.

Dhoni -BCCI
by Srinivasan Iyer on Jul 08, 2008 09:23 AM  | Hide replies

I think Dhoni had every right to comment on the 'back to back' matches at the Asia Cup and how tiring it is for the players. BCCI representative who sits in airconditioned rooms and meet in 5 star hotels should try to understand the player's problems and dismiss them as though the players are 'owned ' by the BCCI. I wish Dhoni will step down from the Lanka tour and takes a well deserved rest since according to the BCCI they have enough bench strength if anyone drops out.

Thats how we indians are
by Shyam on Jul 08, 2008 07:24 AM

I am just surprised why we give so much importance to cricketers ? I know they are stars but we indians will put them on head and let them pee into our ears, cricket is actually ruining all other sports and education of small kids in our country, why dont we be sensible and treat them as human beings instead of God !!!!! We lost our common sense and gone mad behind these cricketers!!!

Secondly if Dhoni is tired then let him take rest for 2 years or retire him, now when he made his place in team as a captain he got a power to do anything, other players are also with him why dont they get tired ? 10 days are enough to take rest for upcoming series, if players who are in form will act like this then we dont need such players, when India need them they act like stupids

Chill out. Mendis was new and too good for us
by Keshav on Jul 08, 2008 06:57 AM  | Hide replies

India got the best batting line up. But for Mendis India would have won in 35 overs. The surprise element would have surprised our oldies as well. So let us not take pot shots at our players. India has some amazing stroke players in their line up. They are facing Mendis for the first time. Over a period they will work out a strategy to play him.

Dhoni - a political captain
by Ashok Prabhu on Jul 08, 2008 03:00 AM  | Hide replies

Dhoni will be forgotten by the public very soon. The more he loses the sooner he will exit. IT is just that he had a good time. But his exit is not that far. He is a kid compared to Sehwag. Time will answer. He will be kicked out of the team one day. He won the CB series final because of sachin. thats it. He shuffles the middle order quite often just to protect his place. He will get the price soon.
