It's an age - old tradition in Cricket - THE GORAS ARE SHIT SCARED OF FACING SPIN BOWLERS. So just to cover up this weak - point, they keep raising some issue or the other & harass the spin bowlers. Harbhajan has been the Target of this Conspiracy right from the beginning of his career (where the Goras pointed fingers at his action & banned him.) Another example is Murali.

Aussies dont deserve the win...Umpires do
by avinash madhavan on Jan 07, 2008 09:53 AM  | Hide replies

I agree with Sandeep that we played bad in the second innings. But we didnt play bad enough to loose the match. In fact, i beleive that we should have won this match.

When Ponting was at 17 he was caught behind in Ganguly's over. Symonds was out 4 times in his knock of 150 runs. If it werent for Symonds i am sure that Hogg and Lee would not have batted for so long. They are not good enough to last 10 mins on the ground be it against any team.

We played very well in the 1st innings and managed to get a lead inspite of the Umpires favouring Aussies.

We bowled well in the second innings too. If not for the umpires, both Symonds and Hussey would not have done so much damage. Hussey was out in his 80's. He went on to score 140 .

The Umpires countinued supporting the aussie cause and gave some really poor decision in our second innings. Jaffer was out on a no ball(Although i feel he is not much of a batsman) Dravid and Ganguly were given out when they clearly were not out.

Its ridiculous to know that the umpires asked the players even when the square leg umpire was in a better position to judge the ganguly decision. But what else can u expect from these so called elite umpires.

I am sure that they would have got their share. Their wives would be vacationing now with the money.

I think the way Aussies carried themselves and played the match, shows that they are nothing but sons of Thieves and thugs and nothing can change that. They dont deserve this win.

Umpires behaved as nincompoops
by Rallabhandy Ravindranath on Jan 07, 2008 09:38 AM  | Hide replies

In the 2nd Test match between India and australia, the umpires behaved as puppets and nincompoops. Their favouring the Australia as bootlikcers rather individuals. Mr. Steve Buckner might have been paid handsomely. Moreover, the land of Australian forefathers are pirates and thugs rather oriental countries. So they behave likewise. The way Mr. Symond has no exception.

Perhaps the match fixing angle investigation should cover umpires (including 3rd umpire) also and not only players. ICC should look into a possible match fixing angle involving the umpires in the Sydney match.

You are absolutely correct. We are only blaming the umpires and not the players. What's the use of a player playing over 300 tests and not able to tackle the situation. Post-morterm can be done of any player and umpire. The Aussies are really great and admit this fact.

ok.. lets see who tackled the situation better?

The Indians who did not whine and fought hard against the forces of bad umpiring or the Aussies who won (just barely) with all the assistance they could get.

Whose spirit do you really admire more man? Its a shame that you dont give credt where it is due and continue to blame a competent team for your own failures or shortcomings in your own life, if any.

Bcci and indian team are playing with countrys emotions...
by SANDEEP NAYAK on Jan 07, 2008 09:31 AM  | Hide replies

Guys....Agreed that there were blunders by the umpires which went against the indians but lets not forget indians played badly and could not save the test match.

Some things really irked when it came to the 2nd test match

Kumble says the team played brilliant cricket:

Mr.Kumble can you please let us know why your bowlers couldnt wrap up the australian tail when they were struggling at 120/6,No w please dont tell me hogg and lee were accomplished batsmen.
Next question is agreed ganguly and dravid fell for wrong decisions but what were your other so called paper tigers doing?? they cudnt even last for couple of sessions?? Dhoni was playing as if he was a contestant of Nach baliye. The pitch didnt have any hidden monster in it,were in your team members couldnt play around 60 overs.

To all the media in the country:
Aaj tak had headlines : beyimaan umpires
Times Now : "Cheats "

Comon guys, agreed many decisions went against indians but steve bucknor has been umpiring from past 20 years atleast some respect for him.Now if all the decisions were against aussies would the media behave like this??

Let indians show the aussies their calibre by beating them convincingly and not by coming up with excuses in every series.

BCCI- please concentrate on building a team which is capable to destroy the aussies on the field rather than playing with my fellow indians emotions.
Prepare good seaming pitches which will help our bowlers and also our batsmen to adapt to similar conditons in new

At last some voice of sanity in the wilderness of madness! Mr. Nayak I agree with you 100%. Only few months ago we were struggling to dismiss the weakest Pakistani side to ever play in India. Were the umpires biased then too? The captain was the same Kumble. The problem with us Indians is that we need some feeble reason or the other to fix it on someone else. The actual reason is the Indian team's capabilities is not worth the paper it is written on. Did Yuvaraj last more than 20 balls? Did Dhoni? Did RP Singh? What was Dravid doing in Melbourne test playing 100 odd balls for his 20 odd runs? What did the Indians do in Melbourne? Did they score 200 in one innings? Did they dismiss Aussies twice? Let us talk cricket and not rubbish. In any ground, under any condition, with any umpires, the Aussies will beat this Indian team with their eyes blindfolded! After having played more than 300 ODIs, our boys cannot slide their bats when taking a run! Does any Indian new ball bowler bowl with any discipline or consistency? They cannot even get rid of their wides and no balls. Less we talk about their line and length the better. Most of the Indian bowlers will not even make it to the county teams in Australia and this cannot be denied!

I agree with you statements that Indians (some of them) badly.

Like in the 4th innings, India kept leaking runs. I think this was fatal. With the attitude of umpires it seemed to me they were biased. Infact they really were. Biased umpiring does not deserve any respect. It does not matter how long since they are working. Bucknor is always anti India and in one match he was also mocking Rahul Dravid. I think he does not really like Dravid and is thus an unprofessional umpire.

We should not defend bad players and the same time we should not cover up insults

I think more than guts, its the question of playing with Aussies mind. What if Steve is removed and Bhajji is back in team with the allegation taken off? Don't u think that this will boomerang Aussies and Indian team can then really play some very good cricket against them?
