Remember Dean Jones & Hashim Amla
by Pulkit Bhatnagar on Jan 07, 2008 09:27 AM

Aussies have a way of calling people names and then conveniently forgetting about their own words and actions. Dean Jones was hauled up for an off-the-air remark about South Africa's Hashim Amla. He had to later apologise. Ricky Ponting himself gave Javagal Srinath expletives when "Punter" was hit on the helmet by a Srinath bouncer. The gentle bowler said sorry but the Aussie captain showed his bat and told him to mind his own business and go back to his bowling run-up.

Anyways, Ponting is a gambling man and one who gambles knows how and when to cheat or use the best tactics available to demoralise a player. Even Chess players bang their pieces on the board or slam doors to shake their opponents concentration or to intimidate them.

We stand by Bhajji and the Indian team - I guess its up to Kumble and the other nice guys like Dravid and Tendlya to show their ruthless sides a bit as well. Diplomacy is a long-forgotten art in Cricket now. Its no-more a gentleman's game. It's a jungle out there where only the fittest and the meanest survive.

Enjoy the rest of the series if Asad Rauf and Billy Bowden allow you to! I am sure Mike Proctor wont!!!

Aussies dont deserve to be called as world champions
by critic ramasoma on Jan 07, 2008 09:20 AM

1) Remember the infamous underarm ball of the last ball against New Zealand? Done by Aussies
2) Remember what Glenn McGrach had to say against the sledging? he said that batsman can show his superiority on field by batting. So bowler has to use sledging to distract the batsman and take his wicket..AUSSIE again
3) Ricky ponting acts as if he is a perfect gentleman..But my foot he is..See what he said in Press conference today..In front of all reporters he has the audacity to say "If you dont believe in what I said about the catch is true, you have to no right to be here in the conference"...d*mn him

I would appreciate if this was accompanied with some analysis and thought or as to why such things happen or how could they be prevented in the future...

Who gives a crap about Lehmann and the others? Just one point... if the umpires didn't hear a thing, and there is no other 'apparent' evidence, then we as a public has a right to know the reason behind the decision to ban harbhajan Singh... just saying "there was enough evidence" just do not cut it... what the hell is the evidence? there are ears willing (and waiting) to listen and understand!

Well, don't go hyper friend 'coz this is an age - old tradition in Cricket - THE GORAS ARE SHIT SCARED OF FACING SPIN BOWLERS. So just to cover up this weak - point, they keep raising some issue or the other & harass the spin bowlers. Harbhajan has been the target of this Conspiracy right from the beginning of his career (where the Goras pointed fingers at his action & banned him.) Another example is Murali.
