lou vincent about the aussie players
by raj on Jan 07, 2008 09:27 PM

lou vincent, the new zealand player tired of listening to australian players' constant "friendly banter" said this about the aussie team:

"They hunt like a pack of dogs. There's not just one guy going at you, there's a little bit here, a little bit there. I mean, I love that part of the game, I think it's brilliant, but as soon as they start calling you all sorts of stuff it gets a bit tiring. I personally think that they think they're bigger than the game. It's all about standing up to them."

Where is the proof?
by on Jan 07, 2008 09:27 PM

What I want to know is this: where is the proof? Not a "he said, she said" but real proof. They have banned Harbhajan, without a shred of evidence! And if the "proof" provided by the Indian players carried no weight, then why was the Australian say-so considered as proof? This smells to high heaven of racism. And guess what? I tried to send a politely worded email to this effect to the ICC, and their email contact (listed on their site) sent back my message as "unsent"! Why put up a contact email you cannot be contacted at?!! The ICC should be ashamed of itself and its conduct .. playing favorites in such a blatant manner. Why should we pay for their particular brand of "racism"? SHOW ME THE PROOF! And put up proper contact info on your site ICC .. you have enough money to afford a free email (gmail provides excellent service for FREE in case you aren't aware of this!)

Australia team doesnt deserve to play with us.
by Shahid Ansari on Jan 07, 2008 09:09 PM

We are indians and we have self respect, and can't follow things blindly. And ofcourse we can't keep blind eye on wrong doings of Umpires and Australian cricket team. I think australians are not able to digest Twenty-20 world cup championship defeat with India in SemiFinals, But I tell you australians, that wasnt the only time we have beaten you, we have beaten you in all Twenty-20 matches you played with us. And ofcourse you are not the true champions because champions are those who accept defeats by heart, when australians gets defeated they open their mouths to everybody and shut their minds and hearts for everything. Dont worry very soon you will be 10th in the ranking lists of world cricket in all form of games. We will not play with you, because you don't deserve to play with teams like Team India, for that you need to bring sportsmanship and honesty at your play, that you don't have at all.Pay for yours sins, Its just 2.3 Million dollars we need to throw at you right, just go and grab it.

MIke Procter - Is he biased?
by hari ray on Jan 07, 2008 09:06 PM

Mike Procter is w white south african cricketer. White south african cricketers are not racist or bookie. They are both.

Don't take my words as a joke. Wait for Hashim Amla's autobiography of what he faced in the dressing room.

ICC is Diverting attention from real issues
by Honest on Jan 07, 2008 09:04 PM

The real issue is wrong umpiring, restoring the dignity of the game, and bad sportsmanship exhibited by Aussie players. Before the world distort their characters the issue is hijaked by a threat of action against Bhaji. The real issue is forcing a disciplinary action against the umpires and addressing the issue of agressiveness of Aussie players, esp by Symmonds. When all the attention go to Bhaji's ban on tests, Aussie will escape from the real issues. Clever tricks!!! BCCI's appealing is OK. But they also should force the ICC to take stern action, including some kind of penalising, against the Umpires. Only that will ensure future foul plays by Australian Cricket Board & ICC. Cricket is no more a game only for the Whites. In fact, ICC is getting Oxygen to survive, by the money obtained from the Indian subcontinent. We are promoting the game and they are killing it. The whites should relinguish their positions in the ICC for the Indians/Pakistanis/Srilankans.

Why appeal - why not stern action?
by Siddharth Sharma on Jan 07, 2008 08:40 PM

Why to appeal - Protest and don't accept their resolution.
ICC's money comes from where? I f India - Srilanka and Pakistan bann Australia - who will see their matches? How they will get money? Who will sponshor?

Unless you have vested interest - BCCI must take stern step and not follow appeal road.

Why the team is not being brought back? How much further humilition is necessary to take that decission? Are we not having human skin?

I see villain's look only in the face of Ponting.

cheating Australia unfair ICC
by pratap on Jan 07, 2008 08:25 PM

Cheat Australians and ICC blame that Harbhajan called Symonds a monkey. In what language? In Punjabi his mothertongue? If so, how could Symond and other Australian players understand?Who translate? Or is Bhajji stupid to say it in English so that everybody can hear that and invite trouble for himself? How ridiculous!
