Harbajan sucks
by test on Mar 03, 2008 12:11 PM  | Hide replies

He is using Australian players to be a part of the team. His performance is pathetic. He got those wickets coz of the other spinner and he kept things rights so they went on for harbajan and Dhoni in most matches gives him last overs so that he can get wicket and stay in the team...

In reality Harbajan is loving this importance and I dont know why hayden and symonds are going so low by frequently targeting harbajan..

Australia are world champs and they will remain champs for more years to come and India is a one time victory team and then they show their true colors

Todays win shows that India is not a one time victory team . They have shown their true colours and more is to come. Australians are good but their behaviour despite being the hosts inthis series, has angered most of the Indians and their behaviour is deplorable. No sportsman spirit!!

You are absolutely right! Aussies are the world champs and will remain so for more years to come when it comes to sledging..of course no.1, when it comes to being cry babies unquestioningly no.1.
Aussies can only dish it out but cannot take it when someone gives it back to them...everytime they have been in a danger of loosing they have gone crying, be it against India or any other team! This Series itself show-cases how Pointing and his team have managed to be world champions...by lying & cheating! The Aussie policy is that its ok to sledge or provoke others as long as one does not get caught! Well the indians are in a learning stage and i am sure they will get there soon enough... after all they are with the experts..the so called world champions..the aussies!

true, I still laughs when the sledging business of Aus team went against them in WI. Ramnaresh Sarvan just f****d the Mcgraw and the whole Aus team.
Aussies behvior is like a child who is good smthing and just cry loud and sledge if sombdy is there to give them competion.
Yep...they are good in every thing except sports.

Most entertaining series
by LOL on Mar 03, 2008 11:55 AM

Whatever it is, thanks to the mud slinging and slaging fest in the middle, this has been a thoroughly entertaining affair. It was amazing to see how Harbajan responds tit for tat to all the insults and slur thrown at him at a far away place. Kudos to him.

I only hope and wish that Indian team returns home victoriously and ...... SAFELY as well.

Hayden: Camel, Pig or Donkey
by The Achilles on Feb 29, 2008 11:30 PM  | Hide replies

Once a camel baby asked her mother , why have we hump on our back ? Mother replied that it helps them to store water. Why do we have spongy feet? Asked baby. It helps to walk better in desert, was the answer. Why do we have so big eyelids? Was the next question. It protects them from desert hurricanes. Then what are we doing in the zoo?
So the question is , if hayden is so fond of boxing, why is he playing cricket?
I am sure our boxers are good enough to take care of him than probably he would have challenged them for cricket.

Ishant Sharma has earned name and fame on his own at the age of 19 all over the world (including AUSTRALIA). Had any of the Indian heard of anything like 'HAYDEN' 17 years back (when hayden was 19 years old)??? I doubt.... And if yes, they might be thinking that it is another breed to some sort of a dirty animal like donkey or pig

Well said . The argument for gamesmanship and sledging as it 'being part and parcel of the game as long as is within limits' which the Aussies advance is a senile one .No reasonable man can accept it. A certain gentleman by the name Roger Federer has for so long been at the top in tennis without being cheap and uncultured as the Aussies have , and that too in a much more competitive sport.

Can someone define racial abuse for me?
by yogesh malhotra on Feb 29, 2008 07:01 AM  | Hide replies

The aussies have free use of words like F---, motherf-----,b------- and so on on the field. These words are those that i have never uttered in anger against anyone all my life. They are edited out of movies and even discussion boards. I definitely wouldn't like my kids to learn them. But there is only one place in the media where kids can learn it--watching a match involving Australia. Ok i admit it is in their culture to use such words under the banner of sledging and isnt thought of as offensive in their country. But why do we have to expose our culture to such abuse? So my view is sledging or not all abusive words should be banned in public places especially on a sport that is being televised. You can sledge without being abusive. Hogg may think calling the Indians B------ is light hearted banter but abuse is abuse. I feel it should be banned on the cricket filed-do all u can in private but please please not in public view. And then start explaining in the papers why you used that word. All abusing should be banned and invite heavy penalties. Playing hard doesn't give the license to abuse fellow players and make them angry so that they reply back and get punished--the inciters should be punished too.

You should show the kids the match between Pak and India. They will learn slightly advanced version of these in Hindi and Punjabi.

Thanks for this link, It's a real eye opener. I think we need to make Australians see the link and they shall shut their stinky mouth forever.
