IPL - Price for Cricket Players
by KANDREGULA JAGADEESH BABU on Feb 22, 2008 10:11 AM

The amounts which are being offered by Film personalities and businessmen for the cricket player depicts their confidence to earn more than the offered amount from the people.

why should media make headlines of articles which will not fetch them money!!!! They are doing business and not charity. If you are so concerned pay 50 % of your salary to starving people and farmers. Can you do it???
I bet you cannot. SO just shut up and let media and IPL do their work

One has to be a filthy rich person, or parent of an aspiring cricketer or a person who has lost his bearings to make such a callous statement. An IPL cricketer getting Rs. 1 lac for per ball bowled - it is scandalous when a Ranji chap hardly gets Rs. 1 lac in the whole season or a hockey player getting in his life time. This situation deserves serious consideration and discussion and not a childish comment.

what kind of serious discussion you want to get into? what's wrong if the IPL players are being paid handsomely.
It is not only international cricketer, but also lots of our ranji players are benefitted from IPL. Confirm your facts beforre commenting.
In a democratic country, to give a thought towards the welfare of commmunity, game or anything of such kind , there are people nominated by us. So let them do the so-called serious discussion, cos you and me talking about it will just be a waste of time, with no results.

Agreed. I am clean bowled by your reasoning. It sure is a waste of time to engage a person with confused thinking in any kind of discussion regarding the common sportsperson or common man. Hope you get to be on the IPL or ICL auction block any time soon. Good Luck.

YOu fool I never said anything about farmers and I don't even doubt their efforts.
There are certain platforms available to highlight these issues and this forum is certainly not the one.
If you want to blame some one for their suffering blame the Govt and people who make them suffer rather then shouting in this forum.
Be in your senses when you are talking.
BTW I belong to decent human race who don't comsume any form of dumpings. I Don't know about you, maybe you might be practicing that on regular basis

Looking at your messages, it seems you are too young to understand. Go and take a break child, come for discussion after 3-4 years.

Hi
We are already paying our money to farmers through buying their rice, wheat and vegetables. Government also helping them by asking them not to pay Money for electricity.

People like you are not like that. You are all thieves... why you are asking 50% of our salary... if you are interested, then you pay... or shut-up your mouth and waste your time in watching cricket... and expanding your stomach with fat...

Who said I am interested in charity work?
And I have asked niti to contribute his salary, so why are you so much concern about him??
And if you think cricket is waste of time, then why in the hell you are here.
Go buy some rice and keep contibuting towards welfare of farmers

IPL iis a good platform for cricket players, and the franchise's to make a quick buck. The actual fact is that a lot of bigwigs have been involved and definitely a large scale business proposition is in the pipeline. There are other sports which need to be addressed seriouslyThe auctioning of the cricket players reminds me of the days of Arabian nights where the women slaves were auctioned and the rich men were bidding. Though there is plenty of money for the players, somehow it looks demeaning because they are sold like fattened animals. We cannot allow ourselves to be handled like inanimate products which need to be advertised to be sold in the market. If these franchise's are speaking about passion then our national game hockey should have been given more importance.
