Mr sl Hussian Dont worry every ones going to watch it like crazy....and anyways if you dont watch now it will not effect BCCI because they already got the money something like 10 billion dollars just by starting this...8 teams total payout to BCCI already 6 Billion dollars.... television rights 1 billions dollars by sony.... and DLF branding 1 bilion dollar... whatever money will be generated will be for the team owners and Sony...So cheers buddy and enjoy the great game of cricket....Anyways samething happens in EPL and other football league..

DON'T WATCH IPL BECAUSE BCCI IS FOOLING EVERY INDIAN.PEOPLE SITTING AT BCCI ARE BUSINESSMEN AND NOT CRICKTERS.
THEY ARE MAKING MONEY AT OUR EXPENSE. THEIR COFFERS ARE BEING FILLED WHEREAS GAME IS NOT GAINING MUCH EXCEPT FEW TOP PLAYERS AND OFF-COURSE BCCI OFFICIALS. THERE IS NOT IMPROVEMENT FOR STATE AND LOCAL PLAYERS.
AND NOT THE LAST OF ALL,IT IS US WHO HAVE TO BEAR ALL THE EXPENSES, THE MONEY BEING SPENT ON THE AUCTION ON PLAYES.

The BCCI doesnt do anything to improve cricket in India. They 've so much money and already wondering to do what to do with it and now they 've scope to make even more money. They can instead start improving domestic cricket and infrastructure. I guess a cricket ball costs in excess of 100 RS, which poor guys cant afford to buy and hence play with rubber ball, so their real talent cant be seen. It holds the same with other cricket kits like pad, gloves. Why cant BCCI put their excess money in this market and reduce the cost so that it can be bought by poor kids and thus they get trained in a proper way and the competition happens at equal level. They shd also make selection process at the root level say like districts ... open, so that a talented guy surely gets a place in the team, and thus our selectors like Vengy Monkey dont 've to say "we dont 've enough bench strength".

I dont see any reason to criticise whats happening...Its in everyones benefit.. It will change the way cricket is played in the World...Look at the EPL example in Football..CLub Football is more popular than country football. It gives good players from lesser countries to play the game and earn.. The biggest positive is that since teams need to take local players compulsarily, a lot of local players will get exposure to play with national and international stars... Can you imagine a player from Shivaji Park getting to play besides Ricky Ponting..
Dont just look at the money part and critize..Look at the postives...
Once the Indians wake up and realise the foreign free loaders are not really worth it and no one is interested in TV coverage in India and lesser overseas, the IPL tamasha will be over. However I do hope it succeeds in attracting foreign audiences like the soccer premier league.
Pakistan going to start a new Pak Muslim League. They have already some icon players like Miya Mushraf, Dawood Ibrahim (Highest priced), Nawas Sherif, Ali Sardari... They want to buy some of our key players like Batsman Mulayam Singh Yadav, Spinner Lalloo yadav, Wicket Keeper Mayavati, Spinner Karunanidhi, Fast Bowler Amar Singh.....

i think u r right. instead of improving domestic cricket structure and players abilities by providing better grounds and training facilities, bcci is totally gold-focussed and they need to be reminded that nation's sentiment s are attached with this sport. so they do need a kick and i agree with u Mr. Hussain
