The IPL is a big sham! One wonders how ICC is allowing this! This will kill cricket as a sport permanently. It'll be a pajama entertainment. This is Bollywood's masterstroke after dishing many flop movies. All the extras get to become assistant cheer-leaders. The, public, of course, will have lots of fun! The real cricket-lover will be loser!

ICC is impotent body. Now with this IPL India will control the world cricket now. All the white skinned people will atch from outside. Atlease one area we have already become a super power. We like US in the cricketing world. Big bully.

Slavery at its best ..I can see the day when sachin may be mopping the floor of ambani's since they may buy him under an auction.Well definitely he will always try to mop 100 tiles without stopping (because that counts as a century).Sourav ganguli ,Rahul dravid and all senior memebers should resists this auctioning.Are these guys buying some animals or any painting from the market.and these players who have already earned 1000 of crores do not resist the temptation of money.They should open some good academies and train young generation .

see the truth is this... the icon and star players will be the brand ambassadors of the franchise. (most of them will not have dates, out of form, injured etc). so, the games will be played by the youngsters. the stars will only decorate the teams.

Icon players are those accepted by all the franchises. So it's those who are in more demand than anyone else
what will these players who cannot win a match for their own country be able to do in india, on indian pitches and playing against a majority of indian players... time will tell how ridiculous todays bidding were

It doesnt happen in soccer. The clubs negotiate with players(and their agents) and they sign if both parties agree on price and other issues. Here players doesnt have any say. Just few people bid for thema nd they have to go with whoever bids high!

this happens all over the world guys.. why you people are jealous of others making money.. its all about money anyway.. soccer goes this way.. basketball goes this way.. ice hockey and even F1 me bhi players buy and sell hote hai.. they are being bidded for their playing capabilities and not as a servent.. they will be bound by the contract to play for 44 days of T 20 cricket.. why shouldnt they play it?? If u are given a chance u surly would go for it.. even for 10% of this amount.. that time u wont think of anything.. so just chill and watch if u want.. or ignore.. nothing comes for free..
